Chapter 3: The Doctor's POV

Sherlock groaned as he sat up. "Why didn't you warn me?" he asked in an accusing voice.

"Actually, I did warn you, you just weren't paying attention," I said with a grin on my face. Oh, I did love meeting celebrities, even if they're only internet-famous and notorious being an annoying prick.

"Well you should have warned me louder," Sherlock said, irritated. He stood up and ran his hands down the front of his shirt, flattening it. "Where exactly are we?" he inquired.

"Ah, yes, that's the question," I responded. Sherlock raised his eyebrows just a fraction of an inch, which I took to mean that he wanted me to elaborate. "I want to play a little game, if you don't mind," I continued.

"I don't mind. I absolutely adore games," Sherlock said, not bothering to be discreet about his use of sarcasm.

"Well then you'll absolutely adore this," I said, mimicking his tone. When my newest companion didn't respond, I continued, "I wanted to prove that you weren't a fake like those newspapers said after your "suicide." I wanted to see if you're the real, as it were. So, I picked a random time and place from history. Now, when we step outside those doors, you'll have thirty seconds to figure out where and when we are. Sound like fun?"

"I guess," Sherlock said impartially, but I could see by the way his fingers drummed rapidly on the console that he was itching to go outside and show off.

I started walking towards the front doors. "Allons-y!" I called back at Sherlock. I stopped at the front doors, perplexed. I spun around and saw Sherlock standing right in front of me, his eyebrows knit together in confusion.

"What's wrong?" he asked upon noticing the confounded expression on my face.

"Nothing, I just haven't used that word in a while," I said. "It's French for 'let's go.'"

"I know," Sherlock responded.

"Right. Good," I said, and with that, I threw open the doors and we stepped outside.

The second I left the TARDIS, I knew something was wrong. Sherlock apparently noticed it too.

"Doctor, when you said history, you did mean earth's history, didn't you?" he asked.

"I thought I did."

"Then where are me?"

"I don't know," I said. I grinned like a child on Christmas. "Let's find out." That's when I heard the scream.

"DOCTOR!" The watery voice rang out loud and clear over the seemingly empty plain before my companion and me. I spun around, quickly looking over the area around me. In the distance, I could see several small shapes growing larger and larger as they ran towards us.

"Doctor," Sherlock said. "What are they?" At first, I was a little taken aback by Sherlock's use of the word "what" instead of "who," but as the figures moved closer I could see his reasoning. Sprinting towards us were three green blobs, their outlines just barely visible. I knew instantly who they were. It had been a long time since I'd seen one, but the newcomers were unmistakable.

"Raxacoricofallapatorians," I replied. "We're on Raxacoricofallapatorius."

Sherlock's POV

"Raxa-what?" I asked, confused.

"Raxacoricofallapatorius, home of the Raxacoricofallapatorians. Try saying that five times fast. Raxacoricofallapatorius, home of the--"
