I got called down for dinner at around seven and managed to stumble my way down the stairs and follow the smell of food. I've been trying to calm myself down after Cason went into my room without permission while I was still in my towel. Honest to god, if he does enter again I'm going to rip him to shreds.
The kitchen is massive and has the same white theme that seems to be all over the house, there are several people working and finishing off the dishes. I see a young girl putting out some plates on the island.
'Hi,' I say and she turns to look at me. With her wide doe eyes she looks like she could be mistaken for a disney princess.
'Hello,' she squeaks timidly, almost dropping a plate. I catch it just in time and set it on the side.
'I'm Clara,' I greet. The girl looks about my age and I wonder what she's doing working in a house doing the dishes.
'Josie,' she responds and I'm guessing that's her name.
'Well, Josie, do you know where the dining room is? I can't seem to find my way.' I say, politely as possible, trying not to sound to rude or slang like.
She nods and signals for me to follow her. I follow her out another couple of rooms and she cocks her head to where the dining room is. 'Thanks.'
'No problem.' She says, turning round on her heels and scurrying back to the kitchen.
All the boys are bickering along the table and I find a spare seat next to Will, who smiles at me before continuing to throw breadstick pieces at James, who definitely is not appreciating it. Kelly walks in, still wearing what she was when she picked me up. I notice there are two seats empty.
I look around, noticing the Cason is missing and so is Kelly's husband, Michael. Kelly smiles at me and I fake a smile back before sitting to wait for the dinner. What do they eat here? With the freshly baked breadsticks on the table I doubt they have McDonalds or KFC for dinner every night like Hailey and I do.
Suddenly, Cason walks in a takes the seat across from me. I make it obvious to glare at him, but he just smiles at me evilly before pulling the napkin off his lap and onto his seat. I look down at my napkin, realising that that's what I'm meant to do, to. I pull of the linen napkin and place it on my black leggings.
A few moments later, with myself still glaring at Cason, the same people that I saw in the kitchen come in to put down a plate of food. It definitely looks posh, all I know is it isn't from a box nor southern fried.
'What is it?' I turn to will, looking at my food. Will stares at my disbelievingly.
'You don't know what it is?' Cason laughs, throwing his head back again. I hold on tighter to my fork, willing myself not to throw it at him.
'Shut up,' I growl and the whole table goes silent.
'Where exactly did you come from?' Cason looks at my like I'm an alien and I hate it. He's patronising me, putting me down and making me feel like scum. I don't need that, I am not someone to be laughed at.
'A place that if you went their, you'd be dead in a heartbeat.' I glare, sneering at him. Cason seems to be enjoying provoking me, and I can tell he's going to carry on.
'Now, Cason, let's not be rude to the guest-' Kelly warns, her voice not threatening enough to stop Cason from continuing.
'No, really. What is it you did to come here? It must be amazing, coming here to where theres money. I bet you feel so out of place.' He rests his hand on his chin and raises his eyebrows.
