Chapter 14

Summer P.O.V

"Mommy! I want juice!" Rayna whined rubbing her eyes. The others trailed behind her half asleep as she was. When Lilly saw Kayden she instantly let out a pitiful noise and reached out toward him. Kayden took her from Matt letting her rest her head on his chest her thumb in her mouth. The boys stayed behind Rayna having noticed Levi.

"Mommy juice!" Rayna cried tugging on my dress now that I'd let go of Levi. I glanced back at Levi to see him staring intently at Rayna his body completely still. I picked Rayna up and smoothed her stray hairs out of her face.

"Okay baby I'll get you juice but I want you to meet someone."

I turn to Levi and watched as his eyes turned glassy.

Rayna stared up at her father before suddenly she was wiggling in my arms and reaching for Levi with desperate whines. "Daddy! Daddy up!" She said loudly almost completely out of my grasp now.

Levi looked to me startled but when Rayna almost started to cry he hesitantly picked her up. "Daddy where you been?" She frowned looking up at him.

Levi closed his eyes before swallowing hard when he opened his eyes they were sad. "I'm sorry sweetheart but I'm home now."

Rayna smiled happy now. "Okay. Juice now?" She asked playing with Levi's necklace. Levi laughed gruffly and kissed her forehead before nuzzling her face making her giggle. My heart warmed and I sniffled wiping my eyes.

Alec clapped his hands bringing everyone's attention to him. "Alright well I guess we have two things to celebrate now! I'm excited to eat me some of Summer's delicious looking cupcakes!"

The boys looked at me excited.

"Cupcake?" The asked together.

I laughed and nodded before grabbing Levi's hand and pulling him into the kitchen the others following behind us. I'd placed the green and white cupcakes on to three tiers and if I do say so my self they looked amazing. Kayden grinned and moved over to me giving me a sweet kiss.

"Thank you baby the look amazing."

"Your welcome, happy birthday."

Alec and Matt all wished him a happy birthday and gave him a kiss while I grabbed the cupcake with the candle in it and lit it up. We all sang happy birthday even the kids even though they didn't know all the words which made it even cuter.

Lilly helped Kayden blow out the candle before Kayden took the candle out and handed her the cupcake. She instantly took a big bite getting half of the icing all over her face. I laughed knowing I'd have to give them a bath after this. Setting the boys at the table I gave them their cupcakes before giving Rayna hers. She copied her sister and Levi laugh wiping the white icing off her little nose.

Levi smiled and turned his head whispering into Kayden's ear. When Kayden smiled and laughed my chest twisted and I quickly turned to the boys running my fingers through Kaleb's soft locks. I'd never been jealous of my mates before. Never envied their own separate bonds to each other but my mates never excluded me before either.

While I was overjoyed to finally have Levi back with us I was still hurt that in the past three years he had only wanted to talk to Kayden. Who hadn't even liked him despite having three rounds of sex with him the last time we were all together.

Watching Kayden ride Levi had been amazing and highly arousing but if they were to go off and have a moment in Kayden's room I wasn't sure how I was going to feel. I didn't want to feel this way but I did and I hated it.

I slowly felt myself putting distance between Kayden and Levi. I didn't want to get hurt and if Kayden took Levi into his room tonight and closed the door...I wouldn't be able to sleep here tonight. The rest of the night was everyone playing with the kids and us giving Kayden's his present. He was surprised and excited much to our delight. It was like watching a little kid as he gushed over the bike wanting to take it for a ride right away but we convinced him it was too late and he'd could take it out tomorrow.

He pouted but finally agreed after giving the bike one last long look.

The whole night Levi held Rayna and she surprisingly didn't wiggle to get out of his arms but asked him all the questions she could and ended up falling asleep on his chest.

I usually took the kids to bed with one of the others but tonight everyone came up stairs and wished them goodnight. I almost started crying when Rayna asked Levi if he was going to be her when she woke up. Levi assured her he was but when she didn't seemed convinced he took of his shirt and put it on her pillow like a pillow case.

"It will be like I'm right here all night and when you wake up I'll be here to hug okay? Daddy's not going anywhere."

Finally pleased Rayna laid down hugging her pillow.

The others were still shy around Levi as their animals didn't recognize Levi like Rayna's did. I knew it would take time for the others to get use to Levi but with how close Rayna already was to Levi I knew they would warm up quick.

Levi gently smoothed her hair back and kissed her forehead before whispering that he loved her. I nearly started crying. When we all left Kayden pulled Levi against him and whispered in his ear making Levi give a small smile. My stomach twisted and I quickly went down stairs to clean up the kitchen.

I was washing sippy cups when Kayden walked in and placed his arms around my waist. I wanted to shake him off but that would mean and it was his birthday.

"What's wrong I thought you would more happy? Levi's back home."

"I am happy just tired." I said quietly not stopping in washing the cups.

He gently grabbed my hand stopping me. I closed my eyes and sighed as he slowly turned me around and lifted my face up.

He searched my face intently and tucked a stray strand behind my ear. "What's wrong."

I looked away and chewed on my lip. I didn't want to fight. I didn't want to admit to them how I felt. What I shouldn't be feeling but I did. I wasn't suppose to be jealous of my mate. I wasn't suppose to wish that they didn't talk to each other or wish Kayden hated Levi as much as he seemed to before. Kayden seemed completely fine with Levi now and I should be beyond happy that all my mates were finally getting along. I should be.

"Summer."

I sighed and pulled out of his hold.

"I...you and Levi."

Kayden frowned confused. "What about us?"

"Your being secretive, have been secretive with each other for three years. Levi wouldn't talk to anyone but you. You the one mate who didn't even like him! You two keep whispering and having moments and I hate it! I hate that your so close and that you two keep excluding the rest of us. Do...you want him more than you want us? Does he not want us?"

It was Kayden's turn to look away guilt flickering in his eyes.
