Picture of sexy Lucas to your right ;) I would post one of Caden but I just can't seem to find a picture of a random boy off tumblr, google, etc that resembles who I want you to portray. My apologies :P BTW Caden is pronounced KAY-DEN haha
Chapter Two: Secrets Savannah's POV
Remy's head whirls round and she stares at me with wide eyes, her index finger pressed to her mouth, shhhing me. Like give a rats ass. I'm not one to swear but considering the circumstances, I think it is reasonable.
Is she insane?! That is the exact moon that I've dreamt almost every night for the past six months. Okay, it isn't a replica; there is no blood running down into the sky but it's damned close enough. How is this even possible? Is it a trick? Why would my own sister do such a cruel thing?
"Is this some kind of sick joke? I am not finding this one bit funny!"
"Would you lower your voice? Joke? What are you talking about. You're starting to sound like a crazy person. Lack of sleep affects you harsh, sis." I snort. Here I am, loosing my mind, and she has the nerve to insult me. You've got to be freaking kidding me.
"You know exactly what I am talking about. I can't believe you!"
"Savannah, calm down. Just tell me whats going on. Please."
"I'm talking about the freaking moon, that is up in the freaking sky, that is freaking red. The same freaking moon I have nightmares about!" To my surprise she flinches, looking just as taken aback as I feel. Remy was always a good actor, a drama-queen at it's best. I start to pace, glaring at her the whole time, fists still clenched. My emotions are on overload right now. They run through me, all at once, like lightening. I want to cry, scream, hit something, and run away to hide all at the same time. Feeling light headed, I sit on the edge of the bed.
"Holy shit,"
"Yeah, Remy, holy shit."
"Sav, you gotta believe me. I didn't know this was in your dream. You've only told me about it once. I must've forgotten. If I knew, I wouldn't have showed you. You know that...I'm sorry." I lick my lips over and over and run a hand through my hair. I breathe deeply. I need to calm my nerves before I explode.
"So how'd you do it? How'd you pull it off, huh?"
"Pull what off? What are you talking about?" She questions, looking confused. Seriously? How long is she going to stick with this "innocent" act? Abruptly, she gets a look on her face like something is finally clicking. I swear I can practically see the light bulb switching on above her blond head. "Oh my God. You think I some how did tha- No, Savannah. These red moon things happen like every billion years. There was even a news report about it this morning. Check the newspaper if you don't believe me." Is she telling the truth? I stare at her for awhile, right into her unflinching eyes. Of course she is telling the truth. She wouldn't lie to me, she's my sister. And she wouldn't do anything to intentionally hurt me.
A red moon is a normal thing then. I am relieved that my nightmares aren't some how slipping into my reality. But still.... I feel confused and the terrified sensation is still well and live in me. It was bad enough when I saw the moon, but thinking my sister would betray me like that is a fear I cannot fully describe. I don't bother trying to hide myself as tears fall from my eyes.
"Oh, Sav. It's alright, I'm here." She rushes over and holds me close to her. After I pull myself back together, I lie back on the bed, covering my aching eyes with my arm. Silence. Pause.
"You really believed that I somehow put a red moon in the sky? What am I, Houdini?" She chuckles out. I laugh a little myself, despite my crappy mood.
