Chapter 1

The airport is always so busy in New York. I was confused on where to go and what to do. I'm only 15, I shouldn't be here alone but my parents decided to ship me off to my aunts for a while.

I went to check in to my flight. They weighed my suitcase and took it. I then went to get through the airports security. Once I was through that I decided to get myself a snack before heading to my gate.

I went to Starbucks and ordered a double chocolate chip frappe. I paid for it and took it with me to the gate.

By the time I got to the gate it was time to board the plane. Luckily, I had a window seat.

Shortly, we took off and I listened to Shawn Mendes' Handwritten Album.

•Landing•

I got off the plane feeling a little jet lagged. I searched around looking for my aunt Kathy.

Soon in the crowd of people I spotted a woman with blonde hair and I knew it was her. I walked over to her with my suitcase in hand.

"Ava!" My aunt Kathy smiled as she took me in a bone crushing hug.

"Hello Aunt Kathy." I returned the smile.

"How was your flight?" She asked.

"It was good but I'm a little tired." I said.

"That's okay, we will be going to my apartment aka your new home and we can order some take out? How does that sound?" She replied.

"Sounds good." I nodded.

She took my suitcase from me as we got to her car and loaded it in.

The car ride wasn't too long so we arrived at the apartment. She unlocked the room and I was awestruck. Kathy showed me to my room which was painted blue, my favorite color.

Aunt Kathy left me alone as I decided to make myself at home.

For the rest of the night we ordered Chinese take out and caught up, and before I knew it I was out.
