I woke up the next morning at 11. I guess I hadn't realized how much I really was tired from the plane ride.

I sighed as I thought about what I could do today. I had no friends here, well not like I had any back at home. I usually just lock myself in my room and watch YouTube videos or listen to music or write. But I wasn't in the mood to do any of those. I wanted to adventure LA.

I got up and went in the shower.

After a good twenty minute shower, I picked out an outfit which consisted of a white halter top with high wasted denim jeans. And over that I put on an hunter green jacket.

I grabbed my purse and phone and decided to just walk around LA and see where I'd end up.

As I got outside I instantly regretted wearing what I picked out because it was terribly hot. Oh well.

I walked for a good ten minutes when I found a few shops. I found a really cute boutique and stepped inside. I saw things I liked but didn't end up buying them. I went store to store until I felt my stomach grumble. I realized I hadn't eaten all day.

I found the cutest cafe and decided to eat there.

I sat by myself at a small table in the corner. I ordered a sandwich and water. As I was waiting I just pulled out my phone. I realized the date was late August and remembered I start school Monday. Today's Saturday.

Soon my order was at the table and I took small bites. I sipped some water and looked as the door opened and the chim of the door grabbed my attention. A boy around my age with sparkling blue eyes and dark brown hair entered with another boy with blue eyes. I made contact with the one my age and looked down at my sandwich.

The waiter came by with my check and I thanked him as I left enough cash including tip on the table. I got up trying not to draw too much attention to me, for I didn't want that boy to notice such a girl like me.

Except that's exactly the opposite of what I did. He noticed me as I got up and we made eye contact before I rushed out the doors of the cafe.

I shook my head and walked back to my apartment I shared with my Aunt.

•skips to Monday Morning•

Today was my first day at my new high school. I got up at the ass crack of dawn and picked out an outfit. I picked a pink halter top with a white circle skirt.

I did my usual morning routine in the shower and let my hair air dry. I added a little bit of concealer as to I didn't need much. I winged some eyeliner and applied mascara.

I sighed at my reflection. I went downstairs and walked to the bus stop.

After waiting 5 minutes the bus arrived. I got on and didn't pay attention to anyone I just had my head down. I sat in the front and faced the window the whole time as I enjoyed some music to calm my nerves.

We were at school within no time. And I got off the bus completely clueless of what to do. I guess I should start by getting my schedule from the front office. And that's what I did.

"Hello, may I help you?" The lady asked.

"Hi I'm Ava Murphy, and I need my schedule?" I said. She just nodded and typed in my name into the computer.

Soon my schedule was printed and she sent me off with a 'Good luck!' And I was left roaming around the school. It was pretty big and looked very modern.

Soon the bell rung and I went to homeroom. They did roll call and I just sat in the back corner doodling on my notebook. That made the class go by fast considering all we did was go over the rules.

Finally when it was over I rushed out and through the hall to the next class avoiding as many people as I could. But of course me being clumsy Ava, I bumped into someone. They knocked me down making me drop my notebook that was in my hands. The person went to pick it up right as I did and our hands met each other's.

I looked up at the figure and met with the same blue eyes I had seen in the cafe two days ago.
