The revelation was a shock to everyone. After the initial shock, Cyan explained to them how he had concluded where the will was. The manor had secret places, a few of which have been mentioned in the book they had read. The murderer might have known about the others.

Cyan presumed that since the nature of the will is controversial, the contender and the testator might have felt that the will should be kept in a safe place where no one will look. He admitted that he didn't believe that the will would be there. But since the murderer couldn't find it after searching the house, he felt that it might be in a place no one would look for.

Griselda called her superior to inform him of the latest development. She didn't inform him that she had allowed Cyan and the girls at the manor. She told him that Cyan called her and asked her to check the grave because he had read about the secret caches in the manor. She doubted if her superior completely believed her. But the will had changed the direction of investigation, the inspector had told her.

The constable was excited. She told them that she was asked to report at the station.

Rowan had called Rose to ask about the progress and she asked him to meet them at her house and they left.

Rowan was waiting for them at Rose's house. He had bought food from The Green Matcha, "I got burgers and your favourite salad, Rose." He handed over the paper bags to her.

Cyan scowled at him and he shrugged.

"Thanks. But I told mom we would be home for lunch and she had cooked food for everyone. If we didn't finish it, she would throw a fit." Rose opened the door and invited them in.

Cyan smirked at Rowan. He went with Rose to set up the table while she heated up her mom's egg casserole and hash browns. They sat down at the table and began eating.

"So, what did you guys find?" Rowan dug into the hash browns.

Rose vivaciously explained to him how Cyan had found out the missing will. She also told him the shocking news of Ruby being Silas Greywich's daughter.

Rowan was dumbstruck. He whistled, "She never told me this! I don't know if she knew this. Maybe she did. Once she told me that she would become rich soon. I assumed that she was talking about something like becoming a famous influencer. I didn't realize that she was talking about getting a huge inheritance." He ruminated over it.

"I don't believe this. Why wouldn't she tell anybody? Surely, someone like Ruby would rub it in everyone's face if she was the heir of the Greywich family. I find it hard to believe. No offense. It just doesn't sit with her character," Scarlett was skeptic.

"You are always cynical, Scarlett. Maybe she didn't know it until recently. It clearly states that she will inherit the assets once she turned twenty-five. Maybe she was advised by someone to keep quiet about it, you know. Because, see, someone obviously knew about it and she lost her life. Maybe she didn't talk about it to avoid being a target."

"Or maybe, she isn't actually a Greywich after all." Cyan measured each word carefully.

"What do you mean?" Rowan was offended on Ruby's behalf.

"Are you saying that the will was forged?" Scarlett was flabbergasted.

"But the police will be able to find if it is forged, right?" Rose put her fork down and pushed away her plate.

"Why would someone kill her if it is a forged will? They will be able to prove it in court if it is forged. I am pretty sure she was killed because she is the Greywich heir. It doesn't make sense, otherwise." Rowan pointed out.

Cyan contemplated his words. "Maybe the will is real and not forged. But something else had happened, like the contents of the will were not what Mr. Greywich intended."
