"So tell me," Shawn said, gesturing with his hands.

"But I've only just met you?" I replied, raising an eyebrow. It was taking all of my mental strength to not freak out but it was kind of hard when he's that attractive. I could feel my lungs fighting hard to not give in and I thanked them massively for that because the last thing I needed was to collapse on him.

"That's true," he smiled, nodding.

"It is."

"It's also a very good point."

"Yes, it is."

"I have a suggestion Y/n," he concluded after some time.

"And what's that?" I asked.

"I think it's best that we spend some more time together so how about you come with me to the hospital cafe and we can talk before you tell me your story?"

And it was at that moment that the butterflies in my stomach went wild and I swore my lungs began to bounce around in my chest rapidly.

"I think that's a good idea actually," I said, "but I have one condition."

"That's fine, tell me."

"You have to tell me your story afterwards."

He politely agreed as I knew he would; he's not exactly the type of guy to refuse something as small as a conversation. Except to me it wasn't just talking- it was discovering. It gave me the chance to find out little details about him such as his parent's names and where he grew up as well as bigger details such as why exactly he was working at a hospital when most kids his age were preparing for university and relaxing before they eventually had no choice but  to work. I also wanted to know other things that he wouldn't exactly tell me. For example: does he pay very close attention during a conversation or does his eyes tend to wonder? Did he have a habit like scratching his nose or fiddling with the edge of the table? Would he offer advice or just complain about his own problems? Would he ask me questions or just expect me to tell him everything in one go? If he got bored would he just walk away? Does he even get bored?

So far I only knew a few things about him: his name was Shawn, he worked at the cafe, he's very attractive and I was falling in love with him.
