Chapter 1

Kara's pov.

"Mirror,mirror on my wall what do you think I should wear for the ball?"I asked the magic mirror that Evan had gotten me for my birthday. When it didn't answer I knew that the mirror was upset with me for some reason or she was somewhere else,because she never ignores me,never.
"Mirror,mirror on my wall tell me how you feel,what did I do wrong,"I tried again. The mirror fogged up and the face I had grown so used to seeing appeared.
"Sorry K,I was just talking to Ev.He said that Ben was allowing four children from the Isle of the Lost attend school and live in Auradon,"Mira said excitedly.
"Oh Mira show me what he saw,"I said getting closer.
"Nah uh Kara you know how I work,"Mira said.
"Fine. Mirror,mirror on my wall,show me what me best friend Evan saw,"I said before Mira's face disappeared and turned into a Evan point of view.
"Jay,son of Jafar plus he is a huge flirt. Mal,daughter of Maleficent and Evie,prissy princess daughter of the Evil Queen. And last but totally not least your older,handsome scaredy dog of a brother,Carlos,"Mira said before the image went away and was replaced by her face again.
"Wow that is so exciting,now answer my question. Mirror,mirror on my wall what should I wear to the ball?"I asked holding up two dresses,a red-white-and black dress and a regular black and white dress.
"Neither,you have worn both already. Too many times to count actually,"Mira said flicking her hand making the dresses fly out of my hands back into my wardrobe. I sighed.
"I need to go shopping,"I said flopping onto my bed. There was a knock on my dorm room door which was unusual because no one ever comes by to see me,and if they do it usually is my friends and they never knock. I got up and walked over to the door opening it with the flick of my wrist,that's right I know how to do magic. Mal and Evie were standing there.
"Oh we're sorry,we thought this was our dorm. Hey you look really familiar,"Evie said stepping in my room.
"Oh girl you better back up before the dog gets off its leash,"Mira said knowing I hate it when people,that aren't my best friends,walk into my room uninvited.
"Wait is that a talking mirror?"Mal asked stepping in as well. Ash,my Dalmatian (oh the irony),jumped up and started to growl at Mal.
"Ash heel,we want the new bad apples to like us right,"I said to her. She stopped growling and laid down again,not taking her eyes off of Mal.
"This is so cool,"Evie said poking Mira.
"Yo Princess Blueberry,ever heard of keep your prissy princess hands to yourself,"Mira snapped. Oh crap this wasn't good,Mira was pissed this so wasn't good.
"Mirror,mirror say goodbye,your work is done. Bye Mi Mi,"I said.
"Thank gods,"Mira said before she disappeared.
"Woah,my mother never had a mirror like that,"Evie said still looking at the mirror.
"Well it was a birthday present from someone so I have no idea where it is from,"I said trying to rush. I heard the familiar footsteps of Jaiden and Mason coming down the hall.
"Is this a stack of spell books?"Mal asked pointing to my stack of books on the desk.
"Yes now please,can you get out,"I said but that seemed to make Mal want to stay longer. My door was already open so my friends just walked right in.
"Yo yo yo De Vil what is happening,did you hear about the new kids.....oh why are they in here,"Jaiden said. Mason's eyes were wide when he saw Mal,aka his sister that doesn't know she is his sister.
"Wait De Vil,you're related to Carlos aren't you,"Evie said. I glared at Jai who shrugged.
"Yes I'm his sister,"I said still glaring before I smirked making Jaiden start shaking her head rapidly.
"So J steal anything good today,you know like a magic wand of some sort,"I said to her then I looked at Mal and Evie. They were like deer in the headlights.
"Why would I steal anything good?"Jaiden asked knowing what I was going to say next.
"Well you're the daughter of Jafar,I thought you would get a better loot,"I said maker her glare at me.
"Stare if you dare,"She said making her eyes glow red. I did the same but mine were a piercing light blue.
"Okay,fine I admit that I should have a better loot,but K I'm not my father or my brother so shut it,"Jaiden said giving up ripping her gaze from mine.
"Okay both of you,calm down. We know our mission and it was pretty clear. Now can you two scat this is their room not yours,leave everything as you found it and by that I mean just leave it,"Mason said trying not to look at Evie who stared at him,she kept glancing from his face to the black crown on his head.
"So are you a prince?"She asked flirting as always.
"No I'm a misfit of dark magic and shadows,"Mason said going past her and flipping down on my bed. "Oh and I'm also the son of Maleficent so yeah technically I am a prince of darkness and death,so I lied."
"I knew that you reminded me of mom,"Mal said before she was pushed to the side by Evan who had a scared look on his face.
"That daughter of Snow White is evil with a capital E and Q,if you know what I mean M,"Evan said to Mason with a smirk before flopping down on Jaiden's bed. Mason laughed before giving him a pointed look that meant 'shut the Jafar up' making Evan stuff his face in a dark red pillow.
"Well we're going to go,have fun with whatever your doing and I was wondering if you knew where the Fairy Godmother's wand is?"Evie asked stopping in the doorway.
"No no we don't,"Mason lied straight through his teeth,his eyes flashing green as he said it. Mal gave him a weird look before her and Evie walked out,off to find their actual dorm room.
"I official dub that Mal is the stupidest human being in the world,"Evan said taking his face out of the pillow.
"No kidding it was so obvious that Mason was lying,"I said sitting in my desk chair. I typed in my laptop.
"We should go find that wand you know,so we know where it is,"Jaiden said sitting next to Evan who put his arm around her shoulder.
"The museum should still be open anyways so we won't be breaking in like they will tonight,"Mason said getting off my bed. He slipped on his leather jacket over his dark purple t-shirt. Jaiden and Evan both sprang off her bed. Jai grabbed her beanie while Evan grabbed his magic mirror and crown,slipping it on his head in the process. I watched as they all filed out of the room before slipping on my white and black leather jacket.
"KARA!!"Jai yelled down the hallway. I quickly grabbed my mini magic Mira mirror running down the hall,my combat boots thumping on the wooden floors.
"COMING!!"I yelled back. I finally caught up to them and we hurried to the museum making it there about and hour before it closed. We smiled at the guard before walking up some stairs. The sign said Villain Hall. We walking into a room only to find our parents.
"Mom?"
"Killer."
"I'll never forget Mother's Day again."
"Well looks like the wand isn't here,"Jaiden said starting to back up. "Come on let's go."
I took a step forward,towards my mom. She had never really liked me much but I still wanted to make her proud.
"Kara come on,the museum closes soon,"Evan said putting a hand on my arm. I nodded following after,we headed down some steps and walking into a room. There in the middle of the room was the wand,protected by a barrier of course.
"Great now we have another set back,"I said frustratedly.
"Maybe I can find a spell to take down the barrier,we can come back tomorrow,"Mason said trying to stay calm.
"I like Mason's idea,now let's get out of here. I still need to finish my homework,"Jaiden said leaning against the doorway. We got out of the museum just as it was closing and started to head back to the school.
"Shit,we are going to have to be careful.Curfew,and we are late very late,"Evan said checking the time. We snuck into the school and went our separate ways. I flopped down on my bed and groaned.
"Great now we have to go to school tomorrow,"I said before drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
