Bethany's POV

I was currently at Christen's house, we were of course messing around on our phones, like most people our age did. It was the normal after all.

We would occasionally fool around, or get some sort of a snack from her pantry or her fridge, nothing much.

Although, her house did get hot easily, so we decided to go outside for a walk, since it was night, and usually it was more colder outside than inside.

So we did, we both brought our phones, i although forgot to leave my charger in the house, and kept it in my pocket.

We both had one headphone in our ears, strolling around the apartment complex, until i noticed a light in the distance..*

"...Hey Christen..?"

She seemed to pause her music before looking at me, still holding her phone in her hand.

"..Look up ahead...do you uh...See that...light in the distance...?"

She paused for a moment as she looked ahead, staring at it before responding..

"...Huh...yeah i do, you wanna go see what it is?"

I gave her a, Are you insane?!! look as she shrugged.
"W...what?!! why??"

"It's honestly boring at my house, and this is probably our only entertainment for tonight, so lets go..!"

She grabbed my hand and dragged me over to the very much so intimidating light, but i knew i couldn't get away from her hold since she was a lot stronger than me..

Once we got to the light, we stared in amazement...This was...really cool and beautiful actually..

What we both stared at in amazement, was a portal looking thing, with many colors in it, a black rim with purple, red, pink, even orange and blue in it.

The middle part of it was the brightest, it was pure white, shining rather brightly...i was amazed actually..

We both stared in shock for a moments, before i bent down and went up close to it...i stuck my hand in it, before getting the weird feeling you get when a part of your body falls asleep, but it was almost like my hand was vibrating, so i quickly pulled it out...

Christen tried it as well, but kept her hand in it a bit longer than i had mine in...she pulled it out at least, but her hand seemed to move a bit out of place...almost like...a glitch...

We both made a shocked screech at this, jolting back...I gulped...what exactly was this...thing??
