Now, today was a very normal day for any superhero. The regular schedule of fighting, the normal business schedule for Tony, etc.
Alexa and I were just watching T.V. on the giant couch. We were really bored at the moment and so was everyone else. But they weren't watching T.V. with us. Tony was at his office working on "the future" as he said it. Steve was just downstairs working out and practicing on his fighting skills. Hulk was out in Canada to get some piece and quiet. Hawkeye went to do some recon and scouting for some girl. Thor went out with Panther, as did Jan, and were on top of the roof to the pool.
"Why don't we just go to the pool or train or something else?" I asked Alexa, "Can't. Too tired" She replied plainly. I sighed and looked away from the screen, I was tired as well but I didn't feel like taking a nap. I was tired but not too tired. My stomach rumbled after a couple minutes. "Hey you wanna go raid the fridge?" "Ok!" she replied and jumped off the couch as if she wasn't tired in the first place. We walked over to the kitchen and I went to the fridge while Alexa went to the cabinets. I found some stuff to make sandwiches and Alexa found tons of snack foods.
We ate our food and afterwards Alexa decided to go and train for a couple hours and so I was left by myself. I continued to watch the T.V.
A couple hours later I heard the elevator ding and out stepped Cap. Wearing a white t-shirt with some sweat pants and a towel wrapped around his neck. He was sweating extremely and his sweat caused his muscles to be see-through. I looked away and covered my nose from getting a nosebleed. 'Dammit!' I thought he was really sexy.
I turned around and saw him and that's when he saw me. "Hey, (Y/N). What are you doing?" unable to respond, distracted by his chest, I stuttered. "Oh-uh H-hey Cap. I.. uh. I'm, I'm just sitting h-here" my face was completely red and there was no way that I could calm it down. My attention was soon drawn to Cap coming over,sitting on the couch with me, and how close he was. "Well that's no fun" He said with a small smile, "Uh, well. I-I didn't really know what else to do" I laughed nervously. Never in my life had I ever been this close to a guy, and a really nice one at that. "Well, why don't you practice in the training area with me?" "Uh sure! Since I don't have anything better to do" another nervous laugh. His smile brightened up the room, "Say, where's your friend Alexa?" "She's downstairs". Cap stood up and held out his hand, I took it and he helped me up. My flush was calming down a bit but I was still worried if it was visible.
Cap walked with me to the elevator, we both agreed to go and visit her, to see how she was doing. There were 10 different levels of downstairs, we headed to the training level and entered the giant room. We walked inside and it was silent, but we knew that she had to be here cause her water bottle was on a nearby stool and there was some equipment that was out. "(Y/N)!! OVER HERE!" Cap had yelled to me and I ran over to the boxing square. My eyes widened in horror, Alexa was laying there Cap said that she was breathing but she was still unconscious. I ran over and back to get her water bottle. Once I gave her some water I tried to wake her conscious, "Cap" "I know" he replied quickly. He took her bridal style and carried her to the elevator.

Cap had taken her up to her bed and I got a washcloth to put on her forehead. I had also grabbed a thermometer while I was at it. I ran over to Alexa and stuck the thermometer in her mouth and Cap put the wet cloth on her forehead.
After a while, cap took off the cloth and I retrieved the thermometer. Her temperature was at a reading of 101.4 degrees. 'Damn. It's not supposed to be that high!' I showed Cap the temp and he deepened his worried look. I went to look for Panther on the roof. 'He'll know how to cure Alexa' I thought to myself.
I hurried to the stairs that led me to the roof and slammed the door open. Sure enough Panther was there, sitting by a tree. I ran over to him, my breath running out. "Panther!!" I yelled, "We need your help!! Something's wrong with Alexa!!" He stood up quickly and immediately ran for the door. Thor and Jan overheard me and followed our tails.
Cap's P.O.V.
I heard running coming from the far end of the hall, several pairs of feet actually. They were coming closer and closer to the room. Suddenly, a hand was trying to twist the doorknob and it was Panther that swung open the door and made a dent in the wall. He hurried over to Alexa and suddenly started checking her for something. "What was her temperature?" Panther asked quickly, "101.4" I replied. He looked at all of us and spoke with a worried tone, "There is a ting hole right on her neck. Someone made this happen". "What fiends has done this to our shifter?!?" Thor questioned angrily. "Yeah, someone's gotta pay!" exclaimed Jan; and then (Y/N) spoke up "Is.. is she going to be okay?" '(Y/N)....'. "I am unsure. But we must care for her with the utmost care and find whoever did this" he walked over to Thor and Jan, "You two. I need both of you two gather Hawkeye and Iron Man. We will need Tony's assistance in this and I doubt he will answer his phone at this time". They both understood and left the room. "For the time being, I shall go look for some medicine to help at least a bit". Soon (Y/N) and I were alone in the room with a resting Alexa.
I looked over to (Y/N) and saw her staring at the ground. I didn't know anything about this girl, and yet I entrust my life to her. Why is that? I saw that she didn't really want her thoughts to be interrupted and so I let her be. 'She must be going through a tough time right now. It's not easy having to have near-death experiences with your best friend'
I then heard a soft sound coming from next me. I looked over and saw drops of liquid coming from her face.
'Oh no'.
Without thinking I quickly grabbed (Y/N) with both of my arms and put her in a tight embrace. My chin was on top of her head and at that moment, I never wanted to let go. She must have been surprised by my action because then she stopped sobbing and I didn't hear any sad noises coming from her. "Im sorry" I finally said, "You were brought into this mess and now you can't get out of it. I'm sorry. If it wasn't for us neither of you would be here right now" I didn't loosen my hold on her; but I didn't get some reaction out of her. "Cap.. I-I-" she was about to finished but Panther suddenly came into the room. (Y/N) pulled away from me as to not let Panther know what had happened; but I think he knew. For I saw a smile on his face.
