When I was younger, my father told me stories based in a town called Beacon Hills. I didn't know this place was real, just like I didn't understand why I grew a little extra hair on a full moon, until my parents told me they wanted to move to the town. It was explained that my parents had been planning to go back for years but only did the death of their former Alpha and his wife spark the need to.

"We had almost no one growing up, you'll be fine." Was not something you wanted to hear from your parents while protesting about not wanting to leave behind all of your friends. They said I'd get along great with the dead couple's daughter, Alanna, but like any other stubborn teenager, I didn't want to listen. Despite all of the efforts to get myself out of living in the town of my nightmares, I still ended up here.

At the age of fifteen, I started attending my parent's alumni school, Beacon Hills High, and like predicted became a close friend of Alanna McCall. Like myself, she is a combination of a wolf and another supernatural being. In her case, she is a were-fox and in mine, I am a were-coyote.

After finishing our sophmore year of high school, we found that we were not the only supernatural teenagers in Beacon Hills. Our eyes were opened when we met Samantha Stilinski, a part-time banshee, and Alex Stilinski, a full-time human. Shortly afterwards we met Chris Dunbar, an alpha of none until he became the leader of what we considered our 'pack'. Of course we had to become friendly and include Kali, Chris's girlfriend into our established group.

During the summer going into junior year, our teenage clique lived a little too on edge. We, like others our age, believed we were invincible. Alanna and I especially didn't think the bad fortune would catch up to us when we read the deceased veterinarian and former specialist in all things supernatural, Deaton's druid book and attempted in performing some of the rituals as jokes. I know it's hard to say without seeming too cliché but after that summer was when all hell literally broke loose.

Now, an official sophomore, my friends and I have more than just homework, crushes, and driving tests to worry about. Something's happening to our town, and because we have the power, it's our responsibility to stop it.
