The Bet

Chapter 16

*Alicia's POV*

I wake up in the morning feeling tired and wanting to cry more. I look over to the doors that lead to the balcony and sigh softly as memories of me and Angello out start to play through my head. I start to tear up and put my head in my pillow.

Gosh, why'd he have to do that to me... I actually did like him, well possibly love... I don't know anymore though. It was all a bet, why should I care or even think about all of these feelings. It was just a bet and about money, that's all...

I snap out of my thoughts when I hear someone knock on my door. I wipe my eyes and sniffle as I get up to answer. Once I answer I see its Destiny and Maxi with bags in their hands.

"Ice Cream..." I whisper.

"Ice Cream," they repeat and smile softly at me.

I start to cry again and they both hug me tightly. I cry in their arms and they rub my back.

"Shhh, sweetie it's ok." Maxi whispers.
"Now come on, let's eat this ice cream before it melts." Destiny whispers.

I nod and laugh lightly, followed by a cough. I clear my throat and pull away from them. I go to my bed and they get spoons from the mini kitchen. They come to sit next to me and put a movie on.

"What movie?" I ask.

"The Avengers," Maxi says.

I smile.

"Ok, now let's dig in. We have Cookie Dough, Birthday Cake, Waffle Cone, and Cotton Candy. Oh and you get two Alicia." Destiny says.

I smile and hug her to thank her. Maxi sits next to me and takes Cookie Dough, while Destiny takes Waffle Cone. I take Cotton Candy and put the Birthday Cake in the fridge. I sit back next to them and put Cotton Candy in my lap.

We all lean back against the headboard of my bed, eating our ice cream, and watching The Avengers. We're like peas in a pod.

After watching a couple movies and eating our tub of ice cream, Maxi and Destiny leave, but told me they'll be back around 6 to go to the boardwalk.
We all decided that were going to go out tonight, not sure if I'll drink much though. Well, I can't hold my word if I'll drink much. I could either get waisted and forget everything about Angello or just have a few drinks and watch everyone have fun and maybe talk to a cute boy. Don't know yet.

I get my bathing suit on and go down to the pool. I get to the pool room and see that it's empty. I set my things down and walk into the pool. I brace myself for the cold water to touch me and I automatically get chills when I get in. I shiver and walk in further into the water.

I smile softly to myself as the water feels so good and relaxing. I dive in under water and start to swim to the other end of the pool. I come back up for air and push my hair back out of my face.

I swimming for a couple of hours, I then lean against the side as I sing softly.

"Must seem very relaxing and you gave a beautiful vioce," some man tells me.

I look over at the man and nod.

"Uh, yeah thank you..." I whisper.

I watch the man gets into the pool and swim around. I watch him come to me and I get out.

"Danm, leaving me already?" The man ask.

"I'm just going in the hot tub..." I tell him and go sit in the hot tub.

The water feels nice and warm. I lay my head back a bit and close my eyes as I sink into the hot water more. This is more relaxing.

I hear some water drip then water swooshing around. I peek my eyes open to see the man and I sigh. I close my eyes again and try not to let the man bother me.

"This water feels nice doesn't it," the man ask.

I nod and whisper, "yeah..."

I hear the water swoosh again and feel someone next to me. I peek my eyes open to see the man next to me now.

"Can I help you..." I whisper and look at him.

"Just want to get to know a gorgeous gal," the man explains.

He puts his hand on my thigh and squeezes my thigh tightly. I blush and try to push his hand away.

"Please s-stop..." I whisper and start to tear up.

He inches up close to my thigh and pulls me to him as I try to back away.

"I believe she told you to stop," a familiar vioce says.

I look up with tears down my cheeks, seeing Angello hovering over the man and I.

"Man, fuck off." The man says.

Angello grabs his shoulder tightly and hiss, "She said stop. Now get your hands off her."

The man glares at Angello and let's go of my thigh. The man gets out and looks at me. He winks and leaves Angello and I alone.

"Th-thank you..." I cry out and whisper.

Angello gets in the hot tub and sits next to me. He hugs me hesitantly and rubs my back as I cry into his chest.

"Shhh, everything's ok now... I'm glad I came now instead of later... " Angello whispers and kisses my head.

I nod slightly and sniffle. I stay in his arms, enjoying his comfort. I hide my face in his chest and gently wrap my arms around his abdominal lightly. I close my eyes and brush my thumb gently across his abs.

"I'm sorry," Angello whispers.

I look up at him and gently pull away.
"I'm sorry too... I have to get back to my room. I'm going to the boardwalk with the girls... " I whisper.

I get out of the hot tub and sigh softly as I start to tear up.

"Alicia, please hear me out..." Angello says and I shrug lightly then shake my head.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go get ready..." I cry out and get my things.

I hear Angello get out of the water and wrap his arms around me from behind.

"Please..."he whispers and I shake my head.

"No, not now at least please..." I whisper and pull away.

I look at him with sorry eyes and I go to my room, leaving him.

I quickly close my door and cry. I slide down against the door and hug my legs close to my chest as I sit. I cry for a good couple of minutes the gain composure. I get up and wipe my eyes as I sniffle. I get clothes and hop into the shower.

Once I finish showering and getting ready, I hear my door. I answer and see Maxi and Destiny. I smile at them and follow them out the door and all the way to the boardwalk.

We all come back to my room to get ready. I put on my new outfit on. My outfit is long black sleeve with a black necklace and camouflage skinny jeans with black combat boots. I have my hair in braids going into two big cornrow braids.

I put on mascara and red lipstick. I put my black hoop earrings in both of my earring holes. I put my carnage earring in and my nose piercing hoop. I look in the mirror one last time and smile to myself. I go to the girls who are finishing up also.

"Ready," I ask and smile.

"You look beautiful!" They say and hug me.

I laugh softly and hug them back.

"You too," I say.

I grab my pouch and we all head out to the club.
