"...and that's it. We broke up". I said, as my little sister listened to my stories about how much fun we had when me and Spencer were still together. But I finished up the story with the most heart-wrenching part of all: the break up.
"Why did you guys break up? You guys seemed so good together." asked my sister, Sarah.
"You really wanna know?".
"Ofcourse I do! Tell me Luke!"
"Well... it all started in Day 1..."
DAY 1: LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
I went inside a coffee shop to treat myself to a cup of coffee. I looked up to the cashier and I felt
like time stopped. I saw the most beautiful woman in the world. I had many girlfriends in my life but
she was... not beautiful. She's different.
"Sir... you're coffee is ready" She says as she grabs my attention.
"Oh I'm sorry... I... uhm... thank you. Here, keep the change".
"Well that's very thoughtful of you.... uhm...."
"Call me Luke"
"Well Luke, that was very thoughtful of you. Please come again."
"I'll make sure I will."
"Well I'll look out for you." I say as I leave with the coffee in my hand and the image of her beautiful
face in my head.
DAY 5: CALL ME MAYBE?
I went into the coffee shop again, and again after the day I first saw her. I never got my coffee
anywhere else as soon as I saw her. I drove to that specific coffee shop just so I could just see her
for even just a few seconds.
It's been 3 days since I met her and I think this is the time for me to make my move. I go into the
coffee shop, excited to see her again, but having butterflies in my stomach because of the risk
I'm about to make. I'm gonna give her my number.
She greeted me with her soft smile, as he always does. And she turns to get my coffee. After she
gave it to me, I knew that this was my time to do my move.
"I would like to know you better... uhm..."
"Sarah. And by that do you mean that you're gonna give me your number?" She says, burning red.
"Well I think you speak my language. Please. Call or text me anytime." I say as I reach to my coat
pocket and give her my business card.
"So... you own a recording company? Wow! That's awesome!" She says completely in awe.
"Yes. I own a recording company. Is there a problem?"
"Ofcourse not! It's just that... I'm a singer."
"Really? Well I never knew that."
"Yeah but... I think I'll just text you during my break. There are still many people in line." She says as
she points at the long line behind me. I say my goodbye and went to my car, saying to myself:
"Mission accomplished."
