You shook your head, you moved away from her, "You don't get to say that, not after all this time. You told me to stay away, you ignored me just because you listened to your friends." You picked up her bag and her coat, you gave it to her, "Get out of my office before i have security take you out."

she walked to the door, she waited a few seconds. her hand was hovering over the door handle hoping you would say something. you looked at her, you said no words. With that she opened the door and walked away. that was it, it was over.

She left, there was nothing else you could do. you wanted her gone but she left. you didn't actually think she would leave, walk out like you were yet again nothing.

It felt like that day was replaying in your head, the day she blanked you. Stopped returning your texts, your calls. she even ignored all the small notes you left her in her locker, even the flowers. you found them later that day in the trash.

why couldn't she just want you, well she did want you and you told her to get out. to leave before you made her leave. that wasn't her fault, it was your fault. but she couldn't just expect you to be okay, to just let her back into your life. she couldn't just say that and expect to be forgiven..

That night you went home, it was normally quiet but today felt worse. it didn't just feel quiet but empty, you felt alone and that was the worst thing to feel. you lived in a big house, but alone.

You dropped your bags by the door, walking further into your house. it wasn't your home, you let your home go. Maybe it wasn't the right thing to let her go, you should have at least tried. right?

you didn't really sleep that night, just laid in your bed thinking about everything that went wrong and stared at the ceiling. you got sick of looking at the ceiling so you went for a drive, you put your shoes on got your jacket and keys then left.

she did the same thing, although she was at an after-party for all the graduates. She didn't feel like having a party so she left early, she was just walking down the street. it was cold and dark, it was dangerous for her to be alone at night.

the worst thing about it was that it started raining, she cursed at herself for not bringing a jacket. she was wearing a dress that had spaghetti straps so she wasn't covered that well. she started to walk after to try get home faster but it was still 12 blocks away, just over a mile walk.

headlights appeared behind her, she got kind of worried when they started to get closer. the car stopped and she heard a door close, she thought this is where she dies. "You ignored me, why?" your voice, Elizabeth turned around to face you.

all her worries drowned away, "What?" she questioned.

"You left me. ignored all my calls, why!?" you half yelled, you were angry but sad. but also happy because you were seeing her, she was talking to you.

she shrugged, "I don't know."

you bit your tongue and threw your hands up, "WHY, WHY ELIZABETH." you were a mess, your hands hit your side. you moved closer to her, "Why, please tell me why."

"I WAS INSECURE. OKAY?"

"Of what?"

she brushed her hands through her hair, "I-I don't know. being gay maybe, SLEEPING WITH MY TEACHER??"

You nodded, walking away from her and opening the car door, "I was scared of admitting my feelings.." her voice broke, "I love you and I hurt you, I didn't mean to hurt you but I did and I hate myself for it."

you stood there with the door open, you could either leave and never see her again.. or stay and fix what was broken. but maybe it couldn't be fixed, what if for the rest of your life your worrying about her leaving. or your wondering if she's the girl that got away.

You were probably going to regret what you did next, the car door closes.

Lizzie stood there and watch, watched how you shut the door and slowly walked towards her. You pulled her in by the back of her neck for a kiss, she didn't kiss back at first but then her hands slowly moved into your hair.

If she was going to ruin you then it's okay, but you didn't want to wonder if she was the girl you let go. She could be the girl who could fix you. Even if it hurt, you wanted it to be her.

A/N : Which is what happened to me, I finally admitted my feelings for a girl.. which took a lot because I recently got out a 2 year relationship.. Which we don't talk about.. but she doesn't feel the same way. even though it did hurt, she's still my best friend. it was better for her to know then for me to sit wondering what the answer was.
