Luke's POV
I sat on my bed with my guitar, strumming, writing a song. (True Love - Dove Cameron) "If I could do it all over, baby I'd do it different. Maybe, I wouldn't be here in this position..." I continued to write the song and sing. After many head shakes and face palms, I finally finished my new song. I started to sing the first chorus as my fingers decided to play. "True love, I knew I had it. True love, was so hard to find..." I stopped and threw my head back. "This will never work." I mumbled. I heard clapping behind me. "Awesome job! Did you write that song?" A female voice questioned me. I knew exactly who it was. Oh no... I sheepishly smile. "Yeah?" I looked back down at the floor. Why? Why, did she just so happen to walk in? "How long have you been standing there?" I asked her. "The whole time. Who is that for? Not that I want to pry into your personal business or anything." My eyes widened. "Um... Somebody special. She's perfect. My brother's girlfriend... Ashley." Why did I just say that?!? My brother doesn't have a girlfriend and who is Ashley? She probably hates me now. Stupid, stupid, Luke! Why did I just do that to the most beautiful girl ever? I'm so stupid. She'll never forgive me.
Lilly's POV
I ran out of the door, sniffling. I knew the song wasn't about me. Wait, why am I upset? I have a wonderful guy who really likes me. He's sweet and not confusing. Why, did I have to like Luke? Why did I have to have feelings for my best friend? I always said I would never fall for him. But I did. I fell for his smile, I fell for his eyes, his flippy hair, the way he laughs and doesn't care what people think of him. I fell for my best friend.
