•Kenzie's POV•
"Your hair smells like lemons"
My eyes shot open, a scowl already on my face.
"Lindsey, for the last time: stop smelling my hair" I growl.
"Not my problem your brown locks turn me on" With that I'm laughing hysterically, and Lindsey is still smirking.
"Y-you k-know it's tr-true" I say in between gasps of air.
"Whatever, just get your lazy arse out of bed. It's already noon"
"And the problem is..?"
"You've slept half the day away, Kenz!" She shouts chucking a pillow at me.
"No need for violence! Not all of us a PMSing!"
"Hey!" She yells fighting the giggle that's trying to escape.
"Ok, ok I'm up"
"Good, now you go get dressed and I'll be waiting"
"Where are we going again?"
"Oh yeah, to lunch then the mall"
"Perfect! I get food, clothes, and some hot boys. I like it"
"I know you do, I know you do" Lindsey says rolling her eyes, and shutting the door behind her.
A yawn automatically escapes my lips, along with a dramatic sigh. My reflection in the mirror is the same as any other day; a girl with a frown across her face. How can I be happy if I'm not perfect? I need to be skinner and prettier. Everyone says I'm skinny, but I don't know I just don't see it.
I push away my insecurities and start getting ready. First is makeup, so I add a thin layer of brown eye-liner, and some mascara. My hair looks horrid, but then again it always does. I usually throw it up in a messy bun, but today Im way too lazy to even do that. So with a shrug I leave it in it's wild state. I throw on a pair of leggings, along with a cheer sweatshirt. I pull on my balck Uggs, and close my bedroom door.
When I turn around I half-expect Lindsey to be here eating a bowl of Lucky Charms,
but instead I'm left with a silent house.
I start walking towards the kitchen, but a
Im met again with an empty room. I raise one of my eye brows when I see a scribbled note saying she would just meet me at the restaurant since something "came up." Probably some guy. Let me tell you, that girl has boys falling for her right and left. It sucks having a perfect best friend. All I want is one nice boy, is that too much to ask? Apparently so.
I grab a banana off the counter and walk to my car. I love my car with all my heart, it's a red Solstice. I hop in the leather seat, and turn up the radio. Monster comes on and I start belting the lyrics. God my neighbours must hate me....
My phone starts buzzing while I'm at a stop sign. I roll my eyes when I see it's from Lindsey, she's probably cancelling. Again.
"Hey Kenz, I'm so sorry babe but I'm really busy. So it looks like your gonna scope out hot guys without me! Love you -Lindsxx"
I roll my eyes, not bothering to reply, and chuck the iPhone towards the passenger seat. Why does she get all the guys? Of course she's gorgeous and sporty.. yeah that's why they all love her. It stinks because we are totally opposites; she has blonde hair, I have brown, she's sporty, I'm a cheerleader, she's kind, and I can be a bitch. Every guy wants the hot sporty girl. Not the bitch.
I was thinking so much I didn't even notice pulling up to the mall. I looked around and saw couples everywhere. It's official: my life sucks.
