Okay, okay, so I got so mad that there aren't any good Mianite fanfics (except for a couple others I found, thanks Encore16 ) that I decided to WRITE MY OWN!
But I probably won't publish it... I don't know... here, read what I have so far of the first chapter and tell me what you think.
(Note: It DEFINITELY DOES NOT include Syndisparklez)
ANDOR
Falling.
All my life I've always seemed to be falling. Like someone has destroyed the ground beneath me and I plummet into nothingness. My father has been the source of most of these feelings, casting my grandmother out from my life, never letting me know her as something more than a goddess. But now she's gone, and I never will.
I raise my head, my eyes focusing on something other than my feet and the tips of my wings. Flapping them is futile, they are nothing compared to the strength of the wind rushing on either side of me.
My aunt Martha is falling on my left side, her silvery hair flowing above her like a backwards waterfall. Her eyes are closed, and she's mumbling something, possibly praying to her mother. I can't help but feel awful for her. The loss of Steve really hit her hard.
On my right is Sparklez. He has a far-away look in his eyes as if thinking about what is waiting for him when we land.
And then there's me. The frightened Prince that's trying not to think of the next horrors that await him.
And almost as abrupt as my thoughts, we stop.
There is no thud or crack or crunch, or any indication that we fell, just brightness in the blink of an eye, taking over my brain and exploding through my mind. My eyes finally acclimate to the white light, and I notice we are on the underside of a hill, waves a couple blocks beneath me lapping at the sandy shore.
Mot stands up too quickly, and collapses back onto the ground with a moan, Tom laughing at his counterpart.
"We're home!" Firefoxx says excitedly, hugging the ground beneath her. Her boyfriend's reaction was different as he cursed and looked mournfully down at his torso.
"I don't have my blood magic stuff anymore!"
Waglington the wizard laughs manically, floating above all of us. "Yes! I'm a wizard again! No more puny mortal spells for me!" And with that proclamation, he flies away, still cackling. Sparklez and I share a look, and Martha frowns at the wizard's receding figure.
"Well, that was certainly interesting," Dianite says, looking very uninterested. "Now let's go meet my other-siblings!"
I watched as Sparklez's face lit up. "Yes, let's."
He led us over the hill and my eyes widened. To the left was a massive tree that cast a dark shadow over the far shore. Directly in front a couple yards away was a stone house built into the bottom of a mountain, and peeking out from behind the mountain was a green and black mansion. To the left of the mountain was another wooden mansion, with a crater-like hole in the roof.
"They fixed my house!" Tom said joyously, sprinting towards the stone building.
"And my tree!" Sparklez said, peering up into the branches. Suddenly, something up at the top of tree moved, and an arrow came zipping towards Mot's head.
"Mot!" Dianite rumbled and pushed him out of the way, the arrow landing where he had been standing seconds ago.
I reached for my boomerang, panicking when I realized it wasn't there. All around me, my companions were discovering all their trusted weapons were gone too. We were unarmed.
"Come on!" Sparklez said, beckoning is towards the tree.
"Jordan, shouldn't we be running away from the tree?!" Firefoxx said indignantly as we all began jogging towards the giant tree. Sparklez had no response.
"Stay here," he said as he reached the roots. "Andor, come with me." I shrugged at the others as the Captain ran through the leafy archway. At the bottom level of the tree he threw open a chest and grabbed two swords. He tossed one to me, and headed towards the elevator.
"Let me," I say, grabbing him by the shoulders and beating my wings with all my strength. We soared up through the center of the tree to the level the arrow came from. I dropped Sparklez on the deck and landed gracefully. A shiver went down my spine and I turned around.
An arrow was staring me in the face.
The man holding the bow grunted, narrowing his eyes half-hidden by green shades at me. "Who are you people?" he said. "What are you doing in my tree?"
"Your tree?!" Sparklez said, shoving in front of me. The older man lowered the arrow as he caught the eye of Sparklez. They were mirror images, except the older man seemed to be a good twenty years older, and had green shades instead of Sparklez's signature red.
Spark blinked at his mirror image. "You're Sparklez."
"And you're Spark."
I smiled. "Hi Spark."
My grandfather looked at me suspiciously, but then his eyes widened in surprise. "Andor?!"
"Hello grandfather," I said, bowing my head respectfully. Spark looked at us both with wide eyes.
"Why are you here, all of a sudden?" he asked suspiciously.
"The Deviser made a portal," Sparklez filled in. "Me and all my friends jumped into it, and it took us back here."
"And Mot?" Spark asked.
"He's here too."
"Oh good," the older man said. "Alyssa will be relieved."
I perked up at the name of my childhood friend. "Is Alyssa here?"
"She's staying with Jeriah and I in the leftmost mansion. She used to live with Mot in the stone cottage, but she felt lonely. She has, however, taken quite a liking to the Mianite of this realm. He seems much nicer than the one in ours."
"Yeah, true that," Sparklez said. "Let's head down so I can introduce you to the rest of us."
(Is it good, is it bad? Tell me what you think, if you had the patience to read all that, that is.)
