Mike and Tré waited for Billie to come back, but he didn't. They waited for about half an hour before they both decided to go back to Mike's place. They'd call him when they got there.
"No way is that possible," Tré decided as they walked through the door.
"I swear. No lie." Mike said, and they walked into the living room.
"You should call Billie." Tré said, and Mike got his phone out and dialled Billie's number. There was no answer. Puzzled, Mike tried again. No answer. He pulled a puzzled face at Tré.
"He'd normally answer me, no matter how mad he was. Even if it was just to tell me to fuck off." Mike said.
"I'll try him." Tré said, and he dialled him too, but got the same result. Tré left him a message and then Mike did. Mike sat on the couch, twiddling his thumbs. "What's wrong?" Tré asked.
"I just... Have a really bad feeling about this." Mike answered.
"What, Billie? He'll forgive us, man." Tré said.
"No. I mean him not answering. I have a bad feeling. Like I said before, even if he's pissed at me, he'd still answer me, even if it was to tell me to fuck off." Mike said.
"So what do we do? Go looking for him?" Tré asked.
"No. What if he's really pissed off?" Mike asked, and then suddenly he looked out of the window, as he saw a red tie on a black shirt, with matching black hair. And then he saw the green eyes. Billie. He went over to the window and waved at Billie, hoping he'd wave back. Tré stood up and walked over, standing behind Mike.
"Who you waving at?" He asked casually. Mike pointed to Billie.
"Billie." He said, as if it was obvious.
"Where? I don't see him." Tré said, and Mike pointed again. Tré looked at Mike worriedly.
"Dude he's not there." Tré said. Mike looked again and saw that Tré was right, Billie was gone. "God, someone wants to make up with Billie!" Tré joked, and went and sat down again. Mike sat down too, and they turned the tv on, Mike checking his phone every two seconds. He gave up after about an hour, and just put it on the side of the couch. Suddenly it rang. He didn't even look at the name and answered it.
"Hello?" He said, praying to hear Billie's voice, even if it was a 'fuck you'. He got the shock of his life though, when it wasn't Billie, but someone entirely different.
"Mike," It was Billie's mom, and she was crying. "It's Billie." She said.
"What? What happened?" Mike asked desperately.
"Car... Accident..." Mike heard those two words and his heart stopped.
"Is he okay?" He asked, and Tré looked up.
"He... He's gone Mike...' Mike's phone fell from his hand and shattered, and he felt Tré holding on to him, supporting him. But he don't care. He couldn't think of anything else. Anything except...
Billie.
He was gone.
