(Prison doors^^but wider)
Josh woke up confused of where he was. He was in a prison cell but he didn't know where. One minute he was in the middle of combat and next he's here. The cell was a small cube with a tiny bed that hung off the wall. There was light from the hallways. Josh suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of his head. He rubbed it, standing up and walking over to the door. He grasped the metal bars and looked out. It was a typical empty hallway with a few other cells similar to his own. There was one cell at the end of the hall that had a wooden door instead with a small opening to let light in-in the top middle. A man with dark brown hair, like Josh's, walked down the stairs and over to him.
"Good, you're finally awake." he said. He stepped in front of Josh.
"Who are you and where am I?" Josh demanded an answer. The man snickered at him a bit.
"Welcome to the West Kingdom." the man greeted. Josh's eyes widened. "My name is Preston and I'll be the person watching over you." Josh's hands lessened their grip on the bars and slid down a little. He couldn't, nor did he want to, believe it.
"How?" Josh asked, replacing his hands.
"You were knocked out during battle and brought here." Preston informed.
"What are you going to do with me?" Josh shot him a glare.
"That's classified information, Joshua." Preston laughed. "I'll be right back." he said before leaving back up the stairwell. Josh backed up against the wall. It seemed like a dream to him. He was so far from home. He didn't know what to do or how his father was going to get him back. The shock factor of it all was now hitting him.
Preston came down with a small table, and then left again. Josh watched as he went back and forth bringing things downstairs.
"I'll be spending a lot of time down here so I figured I'd make pretty comfortable." Preston smiled. He leaned back in his chair. Josh wanted to scream, cry, and yell at him all at once. He gathered himself before saying,
"What happened during the battle? How did it end?"
"Well, I would say it was even. Your people lost you and we lost Prince Lachlan." Preston told him.
"We got your prince?" Josh smirked. Preston nodded.
"But don't think that means anything because we're getting him back."
"I bet my kingdom is working just as hard to get me back." Josh countered.
"Ha! If so I tell them, good luck." Preston spat. Shortly have after their small conversation, Preston fell asleep in chair. Josh was sat on his bed looking at Preston. They had pretty similar facial features. Josh didn't like this feeling of being trapped and not being able to anything about it. However, Josh is smart and determined to figure a way out of here if Simon doesn't beat him to it.
