She's Coming Between Us (A Magcon Fanfic)

Should I text them?

When I got home, I go straight to my room. I was so excited that I just needed some time alone to get it out of my system. I'll be honest, I squealed like a little girl. Today was one of the best days of my life!
  "Are you okay?" Linda walked up to my bed, looking worried.
  "Yeah, I'm great! I'm happy of how today turned out."
  "Okay, I was just checking on you. Well actually mom sent me because you came straight here then we heard screaming. We didn't know what to think. But since you're not dying, I'm going back to the front." Linda walks away.
  Was I screaming that loud? My room is on the second floor and is on the opposite side of the house from the kitchen where my mom is. After I collect my composure, I decide to downstairs to hang out with the family.  As I'm walking down the stairs, I put my hands in my pocket and I realized I still had the little pieces of papers that Taylor and Matt gave me with their numbers on it. Once I get to the living room, I jump onto the couch and put their numbers into my phone quickly before my sister or someone else sees it. After I put their numbers in my phone, I tear up the papers and throw it away.
  I go into the kitchen and sit at our island table. I set my phone down on the counter right next to me.
"So how was the meet and greet honey?" My mom sounded so cheerful. She's always cheerful but this time she seemed extra. I'm not gonna question it though.
"It was everything I hoped! Did Linda tell you what happened already?" I started I get excited all over again.
"She told me that you was brought on stage and was serenaded by Shawn Mendes."
"Omg, it was amazing! That wasn't even the best part!"
"Oh? What was?"
"Uh..." I realized I was referring to me getting Matt's and Taylor's numbers but I couldn't say that, or at least not loud enough for everyone to hear. "Just being on the same stage as Taylor and Matt makes it better."
"Well I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. And thanks for taking your sister with you. We was finally able to finish her room. That's why I threw this little shindig with my friends so they can come over and help me with the finishing touches in there. Y'all came back just in time. We just finished, but we haven't told her yet. Why don't you do it?"
"Why do I ha-" Before I could finish my sentence I saw my phone light up. It's was a Twitter notification. It was a tweet from Matt.

My eyes are glued to my phone. Was he talking about me? It can't be me. I mean yeah he told me that when I was leaving but what are the chances.
"Maria?"
I completely forgot I was talking to my mom. "Oh, I'm sorry. Uh, what were we talking about?"
"Is everything alright?"
"Yeah everything is fine." Actually started blushing again.
"Well okay... Now go show Linda her new room." I walk to the living to get my sister. She was so into whatever her and our dad is watching.
"Hey Linda, come see. I have a surprise for you."
"Can it wait till after the good part?" Her face still glued to the tv.
"Yes, it can wait." I roll my eyes. I walk back into the kitchen and back to my spot. I look back at my phone and I seen another tweet. Even more surprising than the first but not by the same person; it's from Taylor.

What's going on? What are the odds that Matt and Taylor are tweeting about me? Maybe they are hinting at me to text them. Are they? Are they even talking about me. I mean obviously Taylor is quoting Justin Bieber's song Maria. But that's after meeting me today and its a coincidence that is also my name. After seeing that I decide to text them both.
I just send a simple 'Hey it's Maria'.
"Okay I'm ready now. What's my surprise" Linda taps me on my shoulder because I was in a dazed.
"Oh, right. Follow me, but keep your eyes closed." Good thing her room is on the same side of the house as mines or she would've guessed right away what's her surprise. When we reach her room, I tell her to open her eyes.
"It's finally done?" Linda sounded shocked with a hint of excitement.
"Yes, now go check out your new room!" I give her a little nudge so she can go into her room. She had the hugest smile on her face once she opened the door. I think she even started crying. I walk away to let her have a little time to herself in her new room.
When I was about to walk back downstairs, my phone starts to ring. It was a text from Taylor.

I couldn't help but laugh. He is such a character. So I text him:

At first I wasn't gonna ask but I just had to find out. Right when I send the text, I get another but from Matt.

So both tweets were about me. I walked back towards my room and I lay on my bed. I cannot believe what's going on.
