Chapter 7: Hanna

I woke up and went out to get the mail which was a pretty far walk considering we lived in an apartment and the designers thought it'd be a great day to put the mail boxes five blocks away from the apartment. I was not up for this today, I was not ready for anything that's going to happen. I finally got to the mailbox and realized I left the key back at the apartment. "You've got to be fucking kidding me," I whispered to myself as I trudged back up the hill to the apartment. As I got back to the apartment I saw Louis in the kitchen making coffee. "Want anything babe?" He asked. "No thanks, I'm good. Is Evan up yet?" I asked. Louis looked at me like I was insane. "You quite alright babe? you seem out of it, and yeah she had a doctors appointment she should be back in a while," Louis said. "What made you come back here?" I looked at him and sighed. " I was going to get the mail but, when I got to the mailbox I realized I left the key so, I had to come back for it," I said. " I think Evan has the key from when she got the mail yesterday," Louis said as he poured the creamer into his coffee. "You're kidding right?" I asked as I sighed and sat down. Evan came in and dropped her keys in the bowl. "How was the doctors appointment?" I asked her. "Eh, just a normal check up, nothing special," she said "sounds interesting," Louis said as he laughed. "Have you guys gotten the mail yet?" Evan asked. "I think you've still got the key," Louis said. Evan searched her pockets and pulled out a lighter, a piece of lint, and finally the key for the mailbox. "I guess you're right,"Evan chuckled. "Is there coffee?" She asked. Before Louis or I could answer her question she made her way to the kitchen and poured herself a cup. "I'm going to get the mail, I think I'm going to drive this time though," I said. "Can I come?" Evan asked. I gave her a nod, grabbed my keys, and made my way out to the car. I got into the car and waited for Evan to get out here. Evan finally got out to the car and got in the passenger seat. I plugged in my iPod and turned it to "Uma Thurman" by Fall Out Boy. "What kinda mail do you think we'll get today?" I asked Evan as I pulled the car into drive. "We normally get spam so, why won't we get the same mail today?" Evan answered as she turned it up a bit. I continued down the road until we got to the mailbox. Evan grabbed the key and headed out to the mailbox singing the little mermaid's "poor unfortunate souls" because I've been singing it around the house lately. She comes back with a stack full of mail, probably right about the spam. "You're fucking kidding me," she muttered to herself before continuing. "I left that gang for a reason, there's no way I'm going to any reunion." Evan handed me the flyer for the reunion. "I think you should go, see old friends," I said as I put the car into drive. We pulled up to the house and Evan was confused and furious by the time we got inside.
