"What're you looking at?!"

Across the hall, was your neighbour. A rare sight, you knew he was military and he was never home. But right now, he was leaning against his door frame, staring at you, lazily chewing on some gum. In fact, he was laughing, his shoulders moving as he raised his hands in the air, one brow lifted with amusement.

"Nothin', I was just watching the show."

Show indeed, you'd screamed at your now ex-boyfrined as you'd thrown bags of his shit out your flat and into the hallway. I'm sure you can sleep in her bed tonight! Caught cheating again. He'd taken 5 minutes to clear out, now you were left with simmering rage and no outlet.

"Oh, fuck off." you hissed angrily, running a hand through your hair.

His eyes widened and he laughed harder. It only infuriate you more. His gaze dropping taking in the sight of your crop top, the low cut of your jeans, the annoyed fidgeting of your fingers.

"Well, if that's how you're going to be..." His voice dropped an octave as he spoke, before he shrugged, dramatically sighing. But he didn't retreat, instead his arms flexed against his t-shirt, a detailed, fresh looking sleeve of tattoos rolling as his muscles shifted and his hands pushed into his trouser pockets. The way he turned so the door frame nestled between his shoulder blades was slow and precise. Bright light from inside his flat illuminated his side profile, his jawline, as he tilted his head back before stealing a glance.

Your ex had been a scrawny, lazy, dumpster fire of a man. But this was strength and control and typically unavailable.

Isn't the best way to get over someone to get under someone else? Particularly someone who leaves a vacant flat for months at a time? One with no strings?

Why be miserable and lonely when you could, at the very least, have some fun? A little fun wouldn't hurt anyone. Maybe you weren't the only one looking for some.

A small smirk grew across your lips.

A small smirk grew across his lips.

"Got nothing witty to say?" He purred, those dark eyes shimmering with entertainment.

You wanetd to say no. You wnated to snap back. but instead you found yourself marching across, closing the distance. He looked you up and down as you approached.

"Not even a hi?" he feigned a pout.

"Hi." You mumbled and you were pressing yourself completely against him, your lips hungry, his hands wrapping around your waist. Picking you up. Lifting you over the threshold of his flat. Closing the door of his flat

When you broke for air, his voice hummed against the million nerves, his warm minty breath fanning over your face, your hair curtaining his.

"I'm Simon."

"I don't care."
