Seven Minutes...

Everyone has had that bad date. There's always a scale.
1- the weather changed or something
2- you forgot something at a restaurant
3- you get a slight injury
4- you spilled food on your nice clothing.
5- something embarrassing happens right before you kiss.
6- you wear the entire wrong thing
7- you hate the thing that's planned.
8- you throw up on him
9- you get in a big fight
10- you almost break up/do break up.
In this case, Ellianna literally broke the scale. At first, the date was perfect.

Out of breath, panting on the couch, Ellianna and Alex sat.
"Seven minutes." She said. "We did seven minutes." She says incredulously.
"It did NOT feel that long."
"It was really quick." She agreed.
"Seven blocks in seven minutes. We must be miracle workers." He replied.
"It's really hard to run that fast."
"You can't be saying that. You were just galloping along like a graceful antelope and I'm trailing behind you like an uncoordinated giraffe with its feet tied together." Alex complained to her.
Ellianna smothered a snicker. Once she regained her composure, she shrugged.
"Maybe your true looks came out." She said with a deadpan face.
Alex swatted her with a pillow. "Jerk!" He cried out.
She grabbed the pillow and hit him back. Pretty soon it was a full-fledged pillow fight.
"We. Are. Really. Immature. 20. Year. Olds" Ellianna said a word every time she hit him.
"Couldn't. Agree. More." He replied. Once they were tired, they settled down to watch a movie.
"Classic, comedy or romance?" Alex asked, one arm around Ellianna and the other controlling Netflix.
"Get Smart." She answered, choosing her favorite movie of all time.
"Should've figured." He muttered under his breath. Ellianna got up and went to make popcorn. Pretty soon, the amazing aroma of buttery popcorn was spreading through the penthouse.
"Oh my god Elli hurry up. It's taunting me." Alex whined from the living room, complaining about the smell. She smiled to herself, deciding to make two cups of hot chocolate just to make him wait longer.
As she was adding the sugar, she felt arms slide around her waist.
"So this is why you're taking so long." Alex mumbled against her cheek.
"Snoop." She said, whacking him gently with a spoon.
"Hey! I was just wondering"
"Well, I was just smacking y-" she was cut off by his lips. Ugh. This was his tactic to get her to stop talking, and sadly, it always worked. She could feel the kiss burning to her toes. She felt light-headed, and that's when she realized she needed to breathe. Placing her hands on his chest, Ellianna gently pulled away. Alex sucked in a breath, and went for another kiss, but she stopped him.
"Nope, stop. No more. Your kissing won't work." She stated firmly, while thinking; despite how good it is.
His eyes conveyed disbelief.
"You want hot chocolate?" She asked. He nodded.
"Then go sit your sorry butt on the couch."
He gave her one last lingering kiss, the went into the living room and flopped on the couch.

Once the hot chocolates were done, she grabbed a bucket of popcorn and went to sit down. Alex had positioned himself in just a way so that she had to lie right next to him.
"You conniving, scheming, rotten little jerk." She said, wanting to come across and annoyed. But both of them knew that she didn't want to be in any other position. She laid down next to him, and his arms slid around her waist.
"You're hair smells good." He mumbled. She turned around so their lips were inches apart. He kissed her, and she ran her hands through his hair.
Twenty minutes later, they were falling asleep, his arms holding her to him. Just as Alex fell into a deep sleep, she heard a noise outside and below the window. Sighing, Elli slid out of his grasp and went to their room. She grabbed one of his shirts and jacket and changed into jeans. Finding a flashlight on the glass coffee table, she went out and shut the door silently. Walking barefoot out to the elevator, she pushed the down button. After waiting for almost an eternity, she finally decided to just take the stairs. Going down two at a time, she reached outside. Everything seemed normal. Then she went under her window and felt arms around her neck and waist. Then it all went black.
