Trevor's POV
I get a call from Autumn as I walk into my room.
"Hey babe," I say setting my suitcase on the floor.
"Hey! So my tire popped and I won't be there for another 2 or 3 hours. I'm sorry I feel so so bad," she says quickly.
"It's fine!" I say trying to calm her down. "Just come here as soon as you can. I miss you."
"Me too. Bye!"
"Bye bye!" I say hanging up. I put my music on shuffle to try and relieve my boredom a bit. As I look up from my phone I remember that this was the same room Mila and I had last year. We stayed up talking all night on this bed. And on this bed we did..other things. Finally my slow ass phone starts playing music. What other song comes on than Human by Christina Perri. The same song Mila sang to me after we broke up the first time. I flash back to her standing up on that small stage. Her voice was incomparable. She looked so beautiful. No stop. I turn the song off. I need to get out of this room. I head for the only other place I can stay. The roof. I walk up the stairs and into the familiar hallway as I step into the old door with the rusty ladder. I climb up and look over the city. I can see the tall buildings and beautiful scenery. I sit down on the edge of the building. This is where I had my first kiss two years ago. I was a fetus. That year was so crazy for me. With all the relationships, the friend drama, the Claire drama, it was just all so much. As I reflect, I hear someone open the door. I hear a familiar voice.
"I can't believe you never took me up here before!" says Miranda. Oh my god Miranda. Quickly, I dart behind a big block which I'm not quite sure is there but it looks like it has to do with the hotel's heating and cooling. I never noticed it before.
"Me either! I was just so busy the past few years I never got the chance," says Mila. Wow I haven't heard her voice in forever.
"It's so beautiful!" says Miranda.
"I know I love it," says Mila. I hear a long pause.
"I know what you're thinking," says Miranda. Someone sniffles. "Come on honey no more tears. I know it's been really hard for you. But this is the perfect time for you! You're surrounded by people you love so think of that instead of him."
"I know I know. It's just hard. Because.." says Mila crying softly.
"Because?" Asks Miranda confused. There's another long pause. "Do you..?" Asks Miranda. More silence. "It's going to be okay. I promise you it will be okay," she says. "Come on let's go downstairs."
"I just want a bit of time alone. Give me five minutes," says Mila clearing her throat. I hear someone going down the ladder. I slightly look around the corner and see Mila sitting in the edge where I just was. "I hate you," she says quietly. "I really truly hate you. I think that's why it's so hard to still love you. You're an asshole. The biggest jerk I've ever met. But I'd never give up what we had for anything. I love you," she says in almost a whisper. It's like she knew I was here. She still loves me. And with that' I hear her stand up and go back down the ladder. I come out from behind the block thing. She still loves me.
