"MIKA---!!!"

I shouted. I had found myself reaching for the ceiling again, hoping that what was there was the warm hand that used to envelop mine yet, I've long known that it will never be there again.

Mikaela was taken by the vampires....and up until now, I have no idea if he's still alive or not. I'm hoping he is. I want to believe he is. It's been three years since that fateful night the Hyakuya family was massacred, it's been seven years since my original family was murdered, both by those filthy bloodsuckers. The reason---up umtil now---I still don't know. But one thing's for sure, I'll kill each and every one of them.

"Yuu-san, please hurry up and stop staring into spa---"

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE SHINOA?!" Yuichirou violently complained as he pointed at the pair of boxer shorts the girl held in her hands, investigating it ever so deviously.

"It's because you're taking so long that Guren had to order m---"

"GET OOOUUUTTT!!!!!" He exclaimed, taking his clothing, pushing her and quickly closing the door after her. "Agghhh...", he sighed.

It was a given that his three years would not be wasted. This was his life now. One of the vampire extermination units---and a member of the elite group--- the Moon Demon Company. Not everyone knows it though. It's an organization that apparently, after his two extravagant occasions with the vampires, recruited him immediately.

Yuichirou remembers everything clearly that time. The intimidating adults questioned him about being one of the Hyakuya children, about his past relations with them and the Amane. He was asked by all sorts of things even he did not know why he answered confidently. After making them believe he had potential, they decided to let him in and train him.

And that's what made him the Yuichirou Hyakuya he is now.

"What took you so long?" Kimizuki asked. He was wearing his usual smug face and his usual weirdly-shaped glasses. But he suddenly burst into laughter as soon as Yoichi chimed in, not understanding what he was about to say---

"Didn't Shinoa say he was still jer-"

"WHAT'D SHE TELL YOU, YOICHI?!" Aaaand he exploded.

"Aha~ it's none of your business, Yuu-san~"

"Why you little----"

"GET AHOLD OF YOURSELVES!!! This is not the time to be playing games. You can't kill any of those goddamn bloodsuckers if you're like that. This is not playing-house." Guren told them off angrily, his face scrunches in a way you could tell he was irritated.

Yuu looked at his feet as the teenagers apologized. He was feeling a little bit guilty but was so not letting it get to him. "But...it really is happening...I'm going to the outside world where those damn vampires are...and I will get my revenge."

No one spoke therafter. They all agreed. It was about time they avenged the people dearest to them that died because of the vampires' doings. Everyone's lost someone. Everyone's just as hurt. And everyone's bent on wiping the beings responsible for the imbalance in the world, the ones that caused the pandemonium of humanity, all its pain and suffering, out of the face of the universe.

After the two large families were murdered did the 'virus' happen, nearly wiping out the humans and the cause of it almost becoming extinct. Why did this happen? Why only now? No one knows. What matters most is that this time, it's the humans' turn to move.

Like normal patrols, they walked around the city, waiting for further instructions. For now, they were supposed to survey the vicinity for anything unusual or unbecoming. The black-haired boy was running out of patience and all of sudden stopped in his tracks. Their leader, the Hiiragi girl asked what was wrong. He had answered that this was quiet despite being so deep in the vampires' territory, too quiet at that. In a second, there were children screaming for help. It was obvious this was a trap but Yuichirou felt the need to rescue the children and he was thirsty for a killing spree and followed it nevertheless. Mitsuba, as always, went batshit crazy and dashed after the idiot with the others tailing them.

Arriving at the endpoint, they were too late as they had watched two vampires feast on the two children's blood with about a dozen surrounding them. "Let those children go!!!" He argued.

"Silly human. This is why your kind dies easily and pathetically." One of the vampires insulted. After they were done with the children, they threw them at the squad as a decoy, near their death. "I've been waiting for this moment..." Yuu mutters underneath his breath. "Come at me, filthy vampires!!!" And launches himself towards them with the rest shouting something about his stupidity and whatnot and proceeds to join in the fight as Kimizuki is left to guard them.

Succeeding was easy considering the two 'princesses' were skilled in combat and three of their squad used the black demon gear series. A few scratches can't be avoided but all in all, it was a great experience for the rookies. Indeed, anyone can see how un-rookie-like their movements were. Luckily, Guren noticed that.

Thereafter, they took a rest. But before they could fall asleep, a message came in from their commander. They had sent the now alright kids to headquarters before proceeding to where they were needed, following the order Guren had stated, they must join and give support to the people at the front lines, naming them.

At the main army's battlefield with a few selected nobles, rose one unscathed emotionless vampire, who was killing off anyone who would try to get in his way. His blond hair can be easily noticed among the dark hair colours, and so did his eye colour, which was a blue as the sky or maybe even better than it.

He held a soldier by the neck, his grip---tight. He talked, voice clear, eyes focused, "Where's Yuichirou Hyakuya?"
