Standing under warm water of shower, Emma sighed heavily.

What was she doing?

Agreeing to a dinner meeting seemed liked a stupid idea all of a sudden. She was already exhausted from work and then that nightmare decided to evade her mind. She was still confuse to whether it was her imagination or a lost memory.

Whatever the case maybe, she no longer wished to be associated with any memory, dream, or person that placed her in the same vicinity of that rude punk.

Shaking her head as if to rid his thoughts, Emma grabbed the towel to cover her naked body.

"The door is locked now."

The faint voice of automatic door lock echoed the room just as she stepped out of the bathroom into her room again. Drying her hair with the towel she threw the small towel into the hamper and grabbed the dress from the bed.

The black knee long dress was one of the many collections her mother jammed into her closet.

Mrs. Casiraghi wanted a doll like daughter. Someone she can dress up, go shopping with for endless hours and host tea parties but Emma was the total opposite of that. She was a nerd all in all just like her father. Dressed in jeans and tee shirts with no makeup, and no hairstyle, Emma didn't give two scents about her lame fashion sense.

Most of the time, Emma was treated like a man in her own house and limited circle of friends that further buried her non existence sense of fashion six feet under.

Her mother and Mrs. Bishops on other hand refuse to accept Emma's simplicity and lack of fashion. So they took it upon themselves to overload her closet with all kinds of latest, most flashiest and expensive clothes. But like always, those clothes and accessories never made it to the streets or even pass her bedroom for that matter.

At office Emma maintained a professional attire with her elegant suits and at home or any other social gatherings which she very rarely attend, jeans and tree shirts were her ultimate dress code.

Even though she hated the idea of dressing up, Emma was not a fool to know that first impressions were what counts. As matter of fact, this was her first time stepping out into the public after acquiring the company.

One thing she was confident about was to negotiate deals and do business. She knew all too well that one of the main components of sucess was curiosity of people watching you.

So she had long decided with her father to minimize her interaction with the press and public. Plus the fact that she had serious case of social anxiety. But now that she was the CEO of a major company, thousands of eyes were monitoring every single move of hers, waiting for any weakness to attack and she couldn't afford to let that happen.

Sighing deeply for the hundredth time, Emma finally pulled the damn dress over her head. Something felt awfully wrong? She had a very strong gut feeling that the evening was going to be one hideous nightmare.

Snapping the buckle of the fancy heels after much difficulty, Emma stepped in front of the mirror to straighten her dress one last time. She hated the way she looked right now. She couldn't wait to get that awfully fancy dress and shoes off her body.

Grabbing the mobile from the table, Emma exited the room. The Door automatically looking behind her.

She walked down stairs getting some very surprised and awed glances from the staff working around the house but Emma ignored it.

"Aah..."

Emma's mother screamed with surprise, jumping ten feet in the air to see her daughter dress up. She must have died and gone to heaven as she was witnessing such a rare and beautiful movement of her life.

"What? What happened?" Angelo raced down the stairs. His eyes wide and scared as he looked at his wife for explanation regarding her screaming.

"Nothing dad, mom is overreacting" Emma huffed in annoyance as she stepped forward into her father's line of vision. Angelo visibly relaxed to see everyone was okay especially Emma.

For a minute there he thought something happened to Emma and that almost gave him a heart attack. To him Emma's safety was the most important thing in the world and the only man who can protect her even at the expense of his own life was Ethan.

That's why he wanted to get them married as soon as possible one way or another.

"Wow. You sure she is my daughter" Angelo tried to lighten the mood with his joke but the tension on Mrs. Casirahgi was clear as a day after his slight panic attack.

"Dad. It's just for today, I have to attend a dinner meeting with our potential client." Emma sighed with irritation.

"Oh how much I wish you dress like this forever" Mrs. Casirahgi voiced with a hopeful sigh.

"Don't account on it" both Emma and her father retorted simultaneously making the poor shake her head in disappointment.

"God, you should have just given me a son instead of a fashionless daughter" Mrs. Casirahgi complained as a joke but the sadness behind those words did not go un-noticed by her husband.

Everyone was on edge today regarding Emma. Perhaps it was the little note they received this morning that was giving everyone a heart attack everytime Emma decided to step out of the house or office building.

The worst part of this was they couldn't tell Emma either. Because first of all the woman would take the threats as a joke or just walk right into the danger's door to investigate and negotiate a deal.

And by so called "deal", she meant catch them red handed and toss their assess in jail. She was hard headed and way too stubborn for anyone's liking. Once her mind was set on something it was rather hard to persuade her the other way.

Secondly, Emma would try her level best to keep her freedom and not get hoarded by bodyguards. And thirdly, She was not fully aware, how dangerous and ugly their enemy were. They won't even for a single minute care that she was a woman. In fact things would be much worse for her as a woman then if she was a man.

These dirty people had no morals or humanity to begin with and on top of that they wanted to avenge themselves for the humiliation Angelo had caused them.

So, it was obvious that Emma was their one and only target in order to hurt Angelo and Bishops as the girl was just as precious to Bishops. They would try everything in their power and every way to torment her.

No parents in the world wanted their child to be in any sort of danger or lose their child at any cost. And the Casiraghi's weren't any different.

Emma was their heart beat and if something happened to her both of them won't be able to survive either.
But their child was at the center of burning fire right now and they didn't know how to protect her.

They were too old and weak and the only way to ensure her saftey was to hand her over to Ethan's trusted hands like. They were sure that the man would lie his life to save her once again like he saved her almost 10 years ago.

"Okay, I am off. Let's get this over with" Emma whispered to herself as she patted her father's shoulder one last time and walked oustide the house unaware of the fact that she was walking straight into the very danger that her family was trying to keep her away from.
