None of my past relationships ever went well, it'd either be that I was too attached to quick or he was doing way too much for me. And cheating was another reason. Which is funny. My best friend always told me I need to learn how to express my feelings better.

Well that was a joke. My ex, was technically my first love he taught me so much. I swear I never expected to be that girl who feel for a guy so quick after talking a couple of times. But I did, he was that dude that no one ever tried to talk to because he was extra. I felt the same until I was the person to fall for him. And it always seemed like no guy could compare to him though we put each other through so much. But again, that's a story that I didn't want to get into.

After accepting that follower request, I hesitated thinking whether or not I should follow him back. But afterwhile I just followed, no more than five minutes later I got a notification saying that he liked my picture and commented on another. "Great," I mumbled to myself.

kd_flossy: Did you loose my number?
delilahhhh: Yes, actually I did

After checking, there was his number and his name. After looking through his pictures, I noticed he had on one of my schools basketball jerseys. But of course he was on the baseball team. I knew he looked oddly familiar. I added his contact information.

Me: Hey👋🏾
Kaderick👀: Delilah? Wassup?
Me: Nm, just relaxing. Wby?
Kaderick👀: Thinking, you busy later?
Me: Uh, no. Why wassup?
Kaderick👀: Movies? Around 4?
Me: Sure, why not.
Kaderick👀: Aigh, bring a friend.

I know rushing into what ever this is with me and Kaderick will not make my heart ache any less but it was worth a try at least. I called Aaliyah and of course she wanted to come so she came over and we got dressed. We left the house and headed to the movies that everyone in my school went to, it was 3:50 and we looked around and saw Kaderick standing with someone I noticed from the team. Instantly, Aaliyah started smiling since she had a huge crush on him. We walked towards them and said hello.

"Sooo.." he smiled making me blush also. "So," I responded not knowing what to say. Then he looked at me and said, "Lilah I'd really like to get to know you."

"Uh. Me? Why-", as I tried to continue he stopped my words short. "Because Lilah, there's something about you. You're different when I gave you my number you didn't jump at the opportunity like most girl would of. And I like a challenge," his smile came back and the butterflies started to flutter in my stomach.

After the movie, he was all I could think about. That smile, those lips, and his masculine cologne. Aaliyah had a good time herself, her and Liam exchanged numbers and on the way home she texted him the whole time.

When I finished showering and changing into some comfy clothing my phone rang indicating that I had a FaceTime call. I fixed my hair as I seen the caller ID. "Hey," he said showing that beautiful brown skin and his nice teeth. "Hi," I waved nervous.

Laughing, he pointed to my shirt soon making me very embarrassed. My shirt had a fluffy kitten on top. "Thanks mom," I mumbled to myself. "I like it, it's cute." Smiling I replied thank you.

"No problem, but I'm keeping my word I want to get to know you. 21 questions?" As we started to play I found my self actually starting to like him. Which amazed me because of my history with guys. And he didn't just ask the obvious guy questions he asked me about current event, life, and thing I like and etc. but as the clock started to get near to 1, we hung up and said our good byes since we both had school in the morning.

Next morning, I think I was the most excited than I've ever been to go to school. I don't know just the thought of seeing his face made me want to get out of bed. I got in the shower, fixed my hair way more than I would on a regular day. Also, I put on some, well I would say some really nice clothes. Then I began doing some of my daily routines and then it was time to leave. I hopped in my car that I just got for my 17th birthday.

And of course as my day is going well I got a text.

Ex💔✂️: so we just broke up and you're with someone else? hypocrite.

Ex💔✂️: baby I ain't mean that. I'm sorry.

Ex💔✂️: so are you coming over later so, I can make it up to you?😏

And the messages kept coming in but I ignored every single one.
I parked and walked down the halls of Munro High School. Looking around for Aaliyah to come and she was late as usual. As I waited, I spotted Kaderick walking in my direction and I tried to avert my eyes he was already smiling at me. He walked over and said, "What's up beautiful, how did you sleep?" Wow, complements early in the morning. That's definitely a plus.

"I slept great I guess and you?" He smiled and said, "Aigh, I guess but not as good as my morning after seeing you." More compliments? Keep them coming I like this.

Blushing, I turned around to see Aaliyah heading in my direction with Liam on her arm. That's confusing she never comes to school on time. She must really like him.

Diverting my eyes back to Kaderick as he talked, he asked me to sit with him at lunch and of course I agreed.
