In the year 3001, you'd expect us to have flying cars. But nope. We do have a way to turn humans into robots with a remote control, but no flying cars. Petty hilarious, isn't it? It seemed so simple to create a car with a jet pack attached. But here in Area 84 (A84 for short), we go for the big things, and apparently flying cars don't fit that critique. Out of all 912 Areas of the earth, A84 has to be on top of things.

But this isn't about A84 strutting it's stuff. It's about A84 ruining everything.

I knew there was something crazy about my seventh grade teacher, Mrs. Hex. In fact, a name like that pretty much gave it away. I just didn't think she would do what she was going to, which was ruin our lives.

It was a typical Thursday, and Mrs. Hex had just finished attendance. However, instead of going straight to math like normal, she proclaimed "I have an announcement. I've created a device that can combine multiple people into one, but there's more to it. It's actually a whole program I set up with the other Areas and the Earth Government, but there's two flaws."

The class sat wide-eyed, mortified. Hardly anything these days had the slightest glitch.

"It's irreversible and memories disappear with the use."

"Any other tragedies we should know about?" Odge, a pudgy rude kid, asked.

"Actually, yes. The government wanted to cut down the population, so they're making it mandatory," Mrs. Hex informed.

"WHAT?!" The class yelled in horrified unison.

Turns out this was not a typical Thursday.
