(A/N) If you don't notice this, this is what had happened to Lucy. It was to long for It to not have a chapter for itself. It will get back to the story after this chapter. Thanks! Oh! And happy Wednesday! (Yes I know it's Tuesday but somewhere it might be Wednesday. So, like I said. Happy Wednesday!)
It has been a month since school started, and I have become a freshmen! First years of high school... Hmm. I like the sound of that! I had just turned 14 a few days ago. I know, having a birthday on a school day sucks, but oh well.
I'm sitting on a bench in front of my school. I had been studying in the library for 45 minutes and then have been waiting for my brother and parents to go home.
My phone pinged once, and then twice right after. I read the first one.
'We can't come pick you up, work won't let us. Love you, and walk home safe with your brother!- Mom and Dad'
I sighed. They had done this twice already for the past month. My mom was a book writer, but she was in a meeting right now with her publishers. Dad, he was a lawyer and was probably helping one of his last minute clients.
I sighed and opened up my second message.
'Won't be able to walk with you. Mom and Dad already told me they can't pick us up. Pick up lil sis from preschool?-Lark'
I sighed as I replied.
'Sure, luv you bro!-Lulu'
I stand up and start walking in the direction of the preschool. My phone pinged with a new message. Once I opened and read it, I laughed.
'Luv is for suckers, sis. So... fine, luv ya.-Lark'
I put my phone in my backpack because it was almost dead. I sighed as I kept walking in silence. This is no fun. And I can't even play a game or text anyone because my phone would die right when I open an app.
I walked for a while, it takes a very long time to get to the preschool from the high school, and the the walk back to the preschool to home is double the time.
It was getting dark now. A little bit of light from the sun was the only thing lighting the road and sidewalk. Nobody was walking the streets. Up ahead there was a bit of shadow there because of a large building. I narrow my eyes, thinking I saw movement.
I shrugged it off and kept walking. The closer I got to that building, the more I felt something bad was going to happen.
Right before I passed under the building shadow, I stopped. This bad feeling was getting even worse. Maybe I should just turn around and take another route...
Right as I thought that, a hand went over my mouth, and around my waist. I screamed, the bad feeling getting so big it practically exploded in my mind. I was dragged backwards and into an alleyway.
I was kicking around trying to get free, and kept scratched the persons arms. I was fully enveloped in darkness, I was still trying to scream but couldn't.
I was lifted up a bit and thrown in something. I heard a door close and I got up on my knees. I looked around and all I seen was darkness.
