Laying here staring at the wall. Up under my forth husband. You wouldn't believe I've been married 4 times and I'm only 18. I grew up in the country of India. In the state and city of Asarganj, Bihar. It have no more than 7,000 people here. My name is Kosha but if you have an Indian accent you would say it Koja.

I've been married 4 times. I Had my first husband at the age of 13, I remember it like it was yesterday. But that's a story for another time. Sliding from under my husband Rosh I walked to get my clothes. The traditional cover up clothes.

Walking to the kitchen to make Rosh breakfast. I was greeted by his 2 other wives Nojah, Peash. They never liked me. They said every since I came along Rosh didn't show them attention. They treat me like crap. I've only been married to Rosh for 6 months. I get beat almost every day for their actions.

''oh look at de little fat wimp!'' Peash said in her thick accent laughing. Nojah laughed right along with her. Still looking forward I just kept on cooking. I didn't want to look at them because I would feel bad about myself. After putting Rosh's food on his plate I had to be careful not to spill anything.

"Rosh." I said rolling my r's, tapping him lightly. He started to move "Rosh."

"What Koja?" he grumbled

" Me made food for you." He turned towards me sitting up smiling at me.

" Good girl Koja." he said patting my head like a dog. I kneeled down on my knees putting his food in his lap. Getting up and stepping back and watched him eat. He looked over at me sipping hid orange juice. " Go down to de market an get me smokes."

" K."

" come here." I kneeled down to him and look at his face." SLAP". " come at me in proper language."

" Me soddy sir. Me so soddy sir." I cried out getting up rushing to the front door. I looked over to see peash laughing at me. I wanted to leave and get away but I didn't know where.

There is always some travelers in the area who's going back to America. In order for me to get there I have to have a passport. Another way is if someone marries me and take me with them. I know you may be confused but as again that's another story for another time.

While walking I was holding my head down. If your husband is married to more than one lady, you don't have to get a red dot on your head. But if you hold your head down that lets people know your married to a man who is married to more than one women. Its complicated, so to sum it up, wear your head down at all times if your married but don't have a dot on your head.

The market is an open store. What I mean by that is everything is outside. Picking up a pack of smokes I walked to where I had to pay.

" oh Koja your here again."

" yeah just for smokes."

" How's you husband Rosh?" the lady asked me.

" Uhh Rosh is Rosh. Same old him."

" That's good."

" I guess."

After paying for my stuff I was headed back to a place I called home. I was looking down when something caught my eye. It looked like a booklet. I stopped picking it up and in big bold letters it read " passport "
