First off, let me say I am so sorry for not updating sooner! It's been so long since I've published any new chapters. And I'm so surprised that my book so far has gotten over 1k views! I've been so busy, but I'll try to write more😝

Maka's POV

A ray of light hits me as I open one eye at a time. I dust at the goo in my eyes and sluggishly get up. Well, shopping done. Now to move on to the rest of the plan. I smirk to myself. Oh sapphire you'll be begging for Soul when I'm through with you. I push aside my scheme and prepare breakfast.
My pink striped pajamas take up the kitchen and I get immediately to work. I grab the pans and start.

Souls POV

"SOUL!" I cringe at Maka's awakening. Sapphire use to say that. The mention of her makes me ache with agony. I lay on my messy bed and stare up at the ceiling, and began to think. But my thoughts always lead to Sapphire...enough with her. I'll get her sooner or later. She hurt me. Yet I still yearn for her soft touch and embrace.
"SOUL GET UP" Screamed Maka. I'm NOT a morning person. Especially on school days. I groan and ignore Maka. I toss and turn once more as I find a new way to go back to sleep. My baggy eyes droop and the Crimson starts to disappear. I'm only half asleep until Maka disrupts my precious sleeping time... AGAIN. "Break fast is ready Soul! I made you your favorites!" Too bad the smell of crispy, greasy, bacon and sweet pancakes already made contact with my nostrils. Out of instinct I yell "COMING". I almost trip on the way to the kitchen. It's a shame though because we live in such a small apartment. When Maka turns around, she's surprised. Because just like THAT I'm sitting on the chair and full of thirst for food.
She does it again. That smile. When her eyes close and lips are pressed together. When each side spreads to reach her ears. When her emerald eyes fade away into little pale wrinkles. But enough of my partners smile, I WANT FOOD. Even before she displays the food onto my plate, I already grab it and take a huge gulp, plastering my refining sharp teeth. As if we had caught another kishin soul. I look up, embarrassed. Maka's wide green eyes dart at me. I smirk, it's not every I get to eat bacon and pancakes. I usually get microwaved Raman noodles. We sweat drop in unison and I find my self
already off to get ready for school. After that day Sapphire broke up with me, I don't know how I'll face her again. Though, I am not as depressed as I was yesterday. But I remembered that Maka had a plan. I smirk once more.

Maka's POV

Soul had such an appetite for breakfast today. I should make him bacon and pancakes more often, I thought. As I watch him get off to get ready for school, I do that myself as well. Before he enters his room, I remind him, "Wear your new clothes!"
He stops holding the door and half smiles, gesturing his assurance. I continue to my room and plan a decent outfit for today, especially with all those new clothes, I will make sapphire pay.
My eyes scan for that one dress I bought. The black slimming sundress. With red lacing at the hems. I always loved red and black. I feel the silk as I reach for it, unhooking it from the hanger. And in a snap I slip into the dress and stare at my reflection in the mirror. I'm not the prettiest pumpkin the patch. Which will effect the possibilities of my plan, but surely she'll be mad for having him move on so quickly. Now for my hair style. I stick my hand in my hair- like I know what to do with them, but I don't. But It's just this once I don't think about books, or smarts, or class. I focus on my looks. I know, pretty weird for a book worm! but I decide not to wear my hair in pig tails today. I unravel my hands out of the tangles in my hair. I decide to let my hair loose. Then, I wear my ivory pumps. I never looked so dolled up to go to school before. I kinda wince at my outfit, not really use to NOT wearing my uniform. I'm ready and step out of my room and wait for soul.

Souls POV

I have on my black and red varsity jacket that Maka chose for me. If you ask me, it's pretty cool. Inside I wear a simple white v-neck shirt. Along with the jacket, I grab my sleek black pants and slip them on. Completing my outfit, I take my all-white sneakers and walk up to my mirror. I grin, like I'm pretty happy with my look, I say out loud, "I look pretty cool".
I turn my neck, because I have a sense I'm not alone in the room anymore. Of course, it's Maka. She's leaning up on the frame of the door way with her back pack sling on one arm. She looks stunning. Bye bye school uniform! She's dashing that comforting smile again. "I actually agree Soul," she says, as her smile gets wider. I wanna say something but she interrupts me. "But C'mon! Let's go already." She starts to head for the door, but I stop her. My hand grips against her silk arm gently. She cocks her ash blond head around to lock her green forest eyes on me. Waiting for a response. I think to myself, Why'd I do that? I felt like my body just took control. I want to say she's beautiful. No. I JUST want to return the favor. And I assure myself, I don't have feelings for my partner. "You're stunning." THAT WAS NOT THE PLAN SOUL. UNCOOL. I wince at my response. But her smile comes back. "I appreciate it, Soul..but on the other hand, we're gonna be late! I want to help you with Sapphire, AND still do my classes." There goes her bookworm blabbering. So much for my risky compliment. But she's right, she's doing it for sapphire and me. I say, "Right. Let's go"
