That night while returning from the mess after the dinner, Jasmine got a call from Susan.
"Hi!!!" she said with tears brimming her eyes.
They had chatted on social site and briefly spoken once.
"Hello Jazz. Life can never be same again", said Susan from the other side.
"I don't know how to survive without you. You are my anchor. Have been...",tears floating down her flushed cheeks.
Bipasha snatched her mobile and said, "Hi! Sassy. Don't mind but no one is allowed to make my 'sleeping beauty' cry. You take care
of yourself. She is trying to cope up with the new environment. Easy. Everything will fall into place with time. Relax! good night", and gave back the mobile to Jasmine.
Jasmine trying to sound enthusiastic said, "Sassy we are having a 'welcome party', tomorrow. You know what, all of us are making extra efforts to dress up in a stylish way. We would stand out. It's tomorrow. I will tell you the details; even the smallest one after the party. You suggest", and she didn't see the small lady barely reaching her shoulder, coming from the opposite direction.She banged off the small box, with her elbow, on the floor, the lady was carrying.
Box was of the clutch lock which got opened due to the impact and small plastic pouches around 10 to 15 in number; of zip lock got spread on the floor.
"Andhi hai dikhta nhi!(are you a blind) said that lady while collecting the pouches quickly.
"I will talk to you later, Sassy", said Jasmine and disconnected.
"Sorry, no big deal. I will help you", said Jasmine bending to help her.
This infuriated her further and she spread herself on the box and it's belongings and said with the gritting teeth "chalte bano" ( go away), trying to hush her away with both the hands.
Jasmine said "as you wish", while straightening herself up.
"Why this mysterious behaviour"? said Jasmine to Bipasha.
"Leave na, 'sleeping beauty', let's quickly go to the bed. This seven hours sleep is a must, before any party. We have to look our best", said Bipasha.
At this Jasmine smiled and circled her in a warm cocoon, with her right hand and left.
