After a while of hugging, we decided to bake some cookies for the boys before they came to pick Calum up in a couple of hours.
"I need more flour." I said, my voice cracking a little because I still wasn't used to talking yet,
"Oh, you need more flour?" Calum teased, grinning at me as he opened the packet,
I knew what was going to happen next.
"Calum, no-" I was cut off by flour being thrown into my face.
Calum's laugh was cut off by me throwing an egg right onto his chest.
"This is war." He grinned, and then began chasing me around the kitchen as we threw ingredients at each other.
Eventually, I slipped on something, falling backwards and right onto Calum.
He immediately flipped us over so he was on top of me, we were both laughing too hard to even think about the position we were in right now.
"I love you so much." He said, the tip of his nose touching mine as he gave me an Eskimo kiss.
"I love you so much more." I grinned,
"Be my girlfriend then."
"What?" My eyes were wide, but I was still smiling,
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, more nervous this time.
My hands reached up to his neck, pulling him down so I could kiss him.
"Of course." I mumbled against his lips.
It took me two years to get over the trauma of my past, and this boy right here, he is my future.
