~Anthony's POV~

Walking down the stairs of my school I could hear the chatter of students talking about nonsense that happened yesterday. I walked down the hallway, my telescope case on my back. A group of girls crowded the hallway in front of me almost making it impossible to pass. I slowly made my way through the crowd, careful not to hit anyone with my telescope case, before I heard a girl snicker. "Hey look its Anthony." I felt something trip me as I stumbled forward almost falling over. The group of girls laughed but I ignored them as I kept walking. My heart was beating from embarrassment and I didn't want to be at this school anymore.

Today wasn't as cloudy as other days so I could look at the stars with my telescope. I wanted to hurry home and set up my telescope but something had delayed me from leaving the school. Before I had a chance to leave the school a teacher had stopped me saying that I was wanted in the students office. I sighed before heading over to where the students office was. As I entered a girl smiled at me and led me to where the councilors office was. "Hello Anthony," the girl at the desk said when I entered the room. She was the councilor for my grade and I guess she wanted to speak to me about my classes. I set my case up against the wall before sitting down in one of the chairs.

"I noticed your grades have been dropping," she said glancing at her computer before looking at me. I turned my head away, not really wanting to talk about this right now. "I just want to know if anything is happen, you are such a good student and have a lot of potential." I clenched my fists in my lap, mumbling to myself quietly.

"I think I'm doing well enough that you don't have to worry." The women sighed and turned toward her computer. I could hear her typing then the sound of her printer. She picked up the paper from the printer and handed it to me.

"Your club adviser wanted me to give this to you. Next month there's going to be a meteor shower viewing and he thought you might want to go." I took the paper from her and looked it over. The viewing was on a Saturday so I had the time to go. I thanked her before picking up my case and leaving. I folded the piece of paper nicely and shoved it into my pocket. When I left the students office I noticed the sun had started to set so I hurried home to set up my telescope.

It was almost dark by the time I had got home. Entering my house, I took my shoes off and greeted my parents before heading up to my room. I had a nice open space next to my window so I could set up my telescope. I undid my case and set up the telescope in my window. By the time i was finished it was already dark and a bunch of stars were already in the sky. I turned my light off to get the best view of the stars.

I spent an hour looking at the sky, searching and trying to figure constellations. I glanced through my telescope one more time before heading to bed when I noticed something shoot across the sky. I lifted my face from my telescope, thinking, before closing my eyes. Some people say if you make a wish on a shooting star it will come true. Although I never believed it I decided to try it for fun.

I wish I wasn't alone anymore.

I laughed to myself before my telescope back in it's case. I looked at the night sky one more time before closing my window and heading to bed. 'I wonder if wishes really do come true.'
