I've spent my summer reading Jon kakauer book "Into the Wild", and listened to life of Chris McCandless, to some known as Alex. At first, when the book was handed to me, I thought this was going to be so boring. I should of known better, because the teacher who assigned us the book over the summer always surprises me in the book she chose for us to read, cause i always end up loving the book . This happen three times now. That book was what I thought about when I first walked into the English class. Just like any normal English class, and any first day, the teacher introduced her self, roll call was called, and students who didn't do the summer work, where kicked out of the class.
My class schedule was not what I wanted. The school brought in a new system(like every school year) and messed up the class schedules for almost everyone. Having some classes up to 40 students and others only have 10 people in the class, made it hard to switch classes, you didn't know which classes where packed or not. During my third period , I was assigned to be a teacher assistant. I honestly didn't feel like being around teachers more than I had to. I spent part of my period in the school office waiting to change my class to horidculture landscape, (a class I wanted in the first place).
Walking into a packed class that was half way done was kind of scary, all eyes are on you. Feeling like balting out the door the teacher say "hey !" As she make moves her head to see who is at the door. Mrs. Sue was blended in the crowd of her students that I didn't even see her. Oddly enough the first person I saw in that class was an old friend. Who I haven't seen in awhile, she moved to San Diego and I remember talking to her about issues she was going through some which involved drugs. I didn't expect to see her in that class, and I'm pretty sure she saw that I was surprised never the less I found a seat across my best friend, who was sitting next to my friend Mallory. I was next to a neighborhood kid, Mike. The classes ended shortly and classes just kept coming. My next class was physics (for the second time today) , the class was pretty small and we had Devion in the class. Devion is that one person who is a goof ball, loud, and popular. Because of our last names we have to sit next to one another. Any class with him is fun.
During my breaks I kept running into this boy that I somewhat like, we tend to be friendly . Considering we had a class together last year andis a part of the FFA chapter with me too. He even went on the Fresno trip with us, meaning we spent time together. But today he didn't seem to notice me at all. (Story of my life)
Being in AP classes plus being a senior had its perks, like in Mrs. Mercers. She's what the school thinks of strict and for those who never had her class my come out as mean. She's actually the best. That is if you can handle taking her class. Last year, EVERYONE would just go up to her and say "happy birthday" every day. This only happened cause she wouldn't give us her actual birthday. So some one started this trend and everyone followed. Let's just say she was very annoyed by it. That brings me back to class today of ten. Shawn ( another goof ball) ended up telling us how he and brennon plus two other friend, began a nine mile hike in Tahoe . He was explaining " it started getting dark, our phones where either dead or didnt have the best signal but we were on Google maps, I guess we read it wrong cause,on our way back we took a different path and ended getting lost. A nine mile hike turned into a 20 mile hike, we had no food or water and cause it got dark, we thought we were seeing bears, cause we did see a warning sign of bears in area. We ended up in the next town, 20 miles away from lake tahoe. My mommy had to pick us up. "
My best friend who was sitting next to me said " This is great" who couldn't stop laughing.
Being a senior , has made me really get involved on how the year will go out. Like, the year book class that marks my sixth class. I joined to make that year book the best. The teacher though, she says " straight forward". She is the only teacher that I fear the most. And I never had her before. But she's real, which is why I like her.
