Authors note:

heey! :P So this is written by exotic_socks and lovelipsx. We've decided to write this together. I did rate this book as General, but beware... you miiiight get nightmares ;) lol Okay okay, have fun reading and remember to leave a comment! :P

I don't really remember my childhood. One day I woke up and bam! I was a teenager.

My name is Amanda Bane, and I have green hair. I'm gonna let that sink in for a while. I have green hair. Don't ask me how or why, because the answer is I don't know. As I said before, I was 'born' like that.

The school in Sunset Valley has officially started to teach English as a language, so most people here know how to speak English rather than Simlish. It's a good thing. Simlish is a complicated language.

I'm sitting outside of my house doing homework. I couldn't find a table for some reason so I sit on the floor.

I see my grumpy neighbour, Mr Oldwright, across the street. He's wearing a brand new dressing gown and drinking coffee just outside his house. He turns to look at me and I wave at him. You'd expect him to smile, and wave back as well. But no, his face goes red and he starts shouting, like every day. "Ibzi Oz Opchoy!"

Apparently, not everyone decided to learn English here. He's shaking his fist at me now. I turn to look around myself. just to make sure it is not me he's shouting at. No one is there. Mr Oldwright is walking up to me, still shouting in Simlish. "Ayba Miaba Mo!"

I quickly gather my homework and scramble back into my house. He's knocking on my door now. I stare through the blinds as he rants loudly. What's his problem?

The knocking stops. I rush to the door, but realise there is no door to rush to. Sighing, I sit down on a couch near the bookcase. You'd think I would be shocked or even surprised at the sudden disappearance of the door. This has been happening a lot lately though. Things disappear. No one knows where they go or how they reappear. Or where we even come from.

Once again, I peek through the blinds. His shouting has stopped and he has retreated back into his house. Poor man. He lives all on his own, and just does not seem to die. Ever. He's always grumpy for no reason. Probably a little insane, too.

"Honey! The foods ready!" My mom calls from the kitchen.

I get up and make my way through to the dining room. A big plate of pancakes is on the table. Again. Like every afternoon. My mom really does not have great cooking skills. She can only make cereal, sandwiches and pancakes. And that's all I ever get to eat. My mom always has a smile on her round face. Her brown locks of hair are never out of place.

For some reason, I felt the need to call my friend, Alice, and invite her over. I ring her with my strange-looking cell-phone, and before I know it she's agreed to come over. Weird. I didn't even say a word to her...

"Hi Alice!" I grin as she walks into my house.

Now, don't be rude and stare, but she has orange skin. Not like tanned or sun burnt. I really mean orange.

She runs up to me and gives me a hug. "Hi Amanda." She's grinning from ear to ear for no apparent reason. Suddenly I'm happy as well.

Strange people are quite common here in Sunset Valley. I'd love to know why though. Why we all seem to have neon skin and colorful hair...why things disappear....why-

I reel back into the bookcase as something hard hits me. A hand. Alice's hand.

"Why did you hit me?" I ask, totally confused.

She looks shocked back at me. "I don't know! Something inside me told me to!" She seems flustered and looks just as confused as I am feeling.

So she also gets this feeling. When you suddenly can't control what you're doing, and then you feel compelled to do whatever that thing inside you tells you to. Like someone else is in control of your body.

"Er, Amanda... Where did the bookshelf go?" she asks, eyes wide.

Oh no... not again! I turn to see an empty space next to the wall. The bookshelf was gone.

"Turn around and close your eyes." I command Alice. She raises her eye brows questioningly and tilts her head.

"Just do it!" I hiss.

Alice closes her eyes and then she turns around, and we stare at the wall opposite the shelf that disappeared. I blink.

It's back.
