Chapter 5: Absorbtion

When we got to the camp, we decided to find out Lucas's powers. He can move any part of his body in super speed, but if he does for too long, he will collapse from exhaustion. Of course, we decided to try and see how long he could go. Lucas ran for five miles and back in 20 seconds, until he collapsed. The weird thing is that right before he collapsed he turned into like a dirt figure.

I poked him and dirt came off and there was skin! It was like he had a second layer of skin made of dirt!

"He's filthy." Marissa said.

"I actually think he just absorbed it." I said. "Like with us."

"But he's filthy." Marissa argued.

"Absorbed." I argued back.

"Whatever." Marissa replied. "Let's just clean him off."

We scrubbed all the dirt off of Lucas and waited for him to wake up. We waited for a few hours until he finally woke up.

"That was awesome!" I shouted in excitement.

"Ya." Lucas said. "I told you I could run fast."

"Well, you never told me you could absorb stuff." I added.

"What do you mean?" Lucas asked.

"I mean you absorbed the dirt before you fell asleep." I explained.

"Like?" Lucas asked.

"Like you made a second skin." I continued. "It was made out of dirt like armor."

"You looked really filthy." Marissa added.

"Lets talk to the doc." I said as I stood up.

Marissa and I lead Lucas to the doctor. She started to check Lucas.

"So?" I asked.

"Yep." She replied. "Lucas can absorb anything and turn it into armor."

"Like that guy off of Ben 10." Marissa added.

"Geek." I said.

"But, there is another part to the power." The doctor continued. "Whatever you absorbed you were as strong as that object. Down side? If you absorb energy then it makes you insane."

"What type of energy?' Marissa asked.

"If you were to absorb someone else's power," The doctor explained. "it would not only kill the person but it would make you crave more and go insane."
