The next day
I met him at the store.I waited a while
Because we never said a time. When he finally walked up,
My heart started
Thrashing
In my chest.I couldn't stand,
So I waited
For him
To sit beside me.He didn't.
He stood.
Staring at me.So I stood
And stared back.Come with me
He finally said.
And against my better judgement
I did.We walked a few blocks
To a vacant skate park.
Run down.
Looked like a carnival
For homeless people. He sat on a bench
And lit a cigarette. He offered me one
And I said no.You say no to me a lot.
He smirked.I blushed
"Fine I'll have one,
But only one."He tossed the pack over.
I've never seen you before.
New?"New."
I let him go on about
Things to do here
For a while
While I smoked. When he was finally finished with
His cigarette
He looked at meThe movie theatre is a block away
You in?
My treat."Why not."
I tried to act cool and not talk much
I felt boring.So I smiled at him.
He smiled back."This is the first time
I've
Ever
Been to the movies
With a guy."He glanced at me
With what I used to see
As interest and passionBut what I now see
As perversionIn his eyes.
So you're
Innocent?
My face lit up like fire
I was so embarrassed."No... Do I seem innocent?"
He just smirked.
