Harry's POV
"Harry, for the seventh time, she doesn't work here anymore." The girl, whom I learned to be named Tamara, sighed.
"Well why not?" I whined, dumping my extra change into the tip jar.
"Because she quit once school started. Why won't you give up?" She sighed, making my drink for me.
"Because I love her," I sighed, looking down at my hand. I looked at the cursive Z tattooed onto my left ring finger. I got it before Kendall ruined my life and Zoe left. It was meant to be a surprise for her, to show her how much I loved her and how there was no extent to what I would do for her. I undeniably loved her, and I haven't stopped looking for her for nearly a year now.
"It's been a year, Harry. Just give up," She groaned, handing me the cup of black coffee.
"I'm not going to give up on my soulmate, are you ridiculous?" I huffed, shaking my head.
"Whatever. I haven't talked to her in months anyways. Besides, I think she went back to visit her mum and sister during summer break." My eyes lit up, and a metaphorical lightbulb lit up above my head. I could fly to Los Angeles and go to her house and- "Don't get any ideas, Styles." Tamara interrupted my thoughts, and I let out a deep laugh.
"You watch me." I walked out the door quickly, going back to my flat. I immediately ran upstairs and started filling up a suitcase, too excited about the idea of seeing Zoe again to think properly.
"Mate, what are you going?" I heard Louis' voice, and I turned to look at him.
"What are you doing here?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Uh, are you really saying you've forgotten?" He awkwardly laughed, scratching the back of his head. My mind ran, trying to come up with some possible reason he- oh. Oh fuck.
"Shit, I forgot, I'm so sorry, I just-" I groaned, unpacking my suitcase.
"It's fine," Louis huffed, moving to sit on the edge of my bed. I stood up and sat next to him, hanging my head down.
"I really am sorry, Lou, it's just that- Zoe, it's Zoe. I think I figured out how to find her, and I guess I got so excited my mind blanked. I just- I'm really, really sorry. God, I'm such a failure, I'm a terrible friend," My voice started to crack, Louis rubbing my back. I buried my face into my hands, trying my hardest not to cry.
"Harry, honestly lad, don't worry about it. I get it, I know how much you miss her. Hayley did send her an invitation, but she never replied to it so I dunno, mate. She might show up, might not, I just wouldn't-" My head shot up, nearly glaring at him.
"Wait, what? You invited Zoe and didn't tell me? What the hell, Lou?" I shook my head, laughing at the fact I might indeed be reunited with the love of my life in a mere fourty-eight hours.
"For that reason exactly," Louis rolled his eyes, walking over to my desk and looking through the items.
"Whatever, man. But what are we doing tonight? It is your bachelors party, last night of freedom!" I laughed, walking towards him and nudging his shoulder.
"Well, Liam and Niall couldn't make it for god knows why, Zayn won't be flying in until tomorrow morning. So it leaves us two, yeah? Besides, the wedding isn't actually for a couple days. Figured we can just chill," Louis shrugged, picking up a piece of paper which I immediately recognize to be the note Zoe left me. I quickly tore it from his hands, shoving it in my back pocket. "What was that?" Louis raised his eyebrow, trying to reach behind me and grab it.
"Nothing, I, erm," I shook my head, walking back to the bed. "So you're going to spend your party here, in my house, with me, just 'chilling'?" I laughed awkwardly, laying down.
"Well, yeah," Louis stammered, laying down beside me. "Besides, I'm sure the fans would get a kick out of it." He laughed, turning to face me.
"Larry forever!" I squealed, both of us bursting into laughter.
"Ah, man, remember the I ship bullshit! Ha!" Tears started sliding down Louis' face, but then it turned from happy tears to sad ones.
"Lou, what's wrong?" I frowned, pulling him into a hug.
"It's just," He sniffled. "I'm getting married in a few days, lad! It's all over now... Don't get me wrong, I love Hayley to bits, and I want a future. I just... what will this do to the band?" I frowned, shaking my head.
"It won't be nothing we can't make through, Lou. We're all strong, we make it through everything. We will make it through everything." Lou nodded, wiping his face dry.
"Thanks, Har. You're really my best lad." He hugged me, then awkwardly pulled away to sit up. "I hope you find her, man. Zoe, that is." He smiled at me sincerely.
I nodded, "Yeah, thanks man. I hope I do too."
