The next morning I awake to the sunshine beaming through the gaps in the curtains, brightening up my whole room. My whole body felt groggy and tired due to the events of last night. I raised my hand in front of my face and I smiled at the ruby red rock on my finger, I couldn't believe my luck. This truly was the most unique ring I have ever seen in my life. But more importantly, I was delighted to be finally engaged properly to Draco Malfoy. His proposal last night was a surprise, to say the least, but it was definitely a moment of relief because I wasn't sure how much longer I could continue as normal knowing what happened between us on the night of Harry and Ginny's wedding. I'm just glad that Draco acknowledged it sooner rather than later.

I turned over to my side bringing the cotton sheets up to my neck – covering most of my almost naked body – and I am now facing a very peaceful looking Draco. I always found it entertaining to watch Draco sleep, and I meant that in a non-creepy way. Maybe it had something to do with his bare chest rising as he breathed, the way his hair got messy and draped over his forehead, the way his lips would part open every once in a while as he spoke my name in his sleep (I haven't yet told him about that) or maybe it's just the way his steady heart beat sounded as I rested my head against his chest. I knew now more than ever that Draco was the man I wanted to wake up next to every morning, and hopefully for the rest of my life. I definitely felt a sense of security whenever I was around him, unlike anyone else.

"Staring at a sleeping man is not a turn on Granger."

I jerked at the sound of his voice. I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I never even noticed he had opened his eyes and he was now looking straight at me with a very sleepy expression.

"I wasn't staring actually," I bit my lip and lay down on my back, looking up at the ceiling. "I was observing."

"Observing... staring... same thing." Draco chuckled. "I don't blame you for wanting to gawk at your new husband to be anyway."

"No actually, they both have completely different meanings." I said deliberately ignoring his last comment. "Observing is more about noticing things and paying attention to your surroundings."

He made a raspberry noise with his mouth as he turned over on his side to face me. He stretched his arm out across my chest as he planted a kiss on the side of my head. "I see you haven't lost your 'miss know it all' spark." His hand, which was on my chest before, trailed its way down the length of my body and stopped on my right inner thigh. The sensation of his warm hand placed firmly on a sensitive part of me sent all kinds of shivers throughout. I slapped his hand away.

"And I see you haven't taken your mind out of the gutter yet."

"That smart attitude of yours..." He began. "Will do more harm than good."

Before I could respond he is hovering above my body with a lust filled expression on his face. His dips his head down until his lips are on mine and he kisses me eagerly. I respond to him by wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him down closer to me, he is careful not to crush me with his bodyweight. One of his hands yet again begin to linger its way down my body to a dangerous area, but this time I don't reject him.

"I don't have to go to the hospital on Wednesdays." I tell him mid-kiss and I am breathing heavily.

"I know." He smirks before he lowers his head down again and pecks me on the lips. "But..."

"But what?" I ask. Did he have to leave so soon?

"I have made plans for us both."

"Oh. What are they?" I say raising my eyebrows. The prospect of spending my day off with Draco excited me and curiosity filled me as I eyed his nervous expression.
