Lies

You said you would leave,

you said there is nobody like you,

you said that no boy will separate us.

I regret to look in the past of the mistakes I've made.

Some how those little things

come stab me in the back

and affect my future.

You linger in the shadows of jealousy and hatred

to find your next victim.

Or in this case your "BFF"

You lie to them to draw their souls.

You sing them your past

so it looks like we're the enemy.

They pity the stories you chant around the campfire.

Hoping for one of them to avenge your failures.

You embrace us with your troubles

so we can solve them for you.

You act like drama are matches,

Lighting them one by one.

Destroying everyone's trust

But the truth is,

is that you're frightened.

You're afraid everyone will leave

so you hop on the last friend you lied to

and act like they were a train.

The railcars never end.

Just like your lies.
