LYLA'S POV

The last couple days of summer have been really enjoyable thanks to my new friends. My first day as a junior at wood crest high is tomorrow, and I'm kinda nervous. But I think if I stick with my friends I'll be alright. Oh and Jazmine told me that there's another member of the group. She says his name is Caesar and he's been on vacation with his family for the whole summer and he comes back today. I'm kinda anxious to meet him and see what he's like and if he'll like me.

But he's coming to to the Freeman's house after he unpacks. And since their grandad is going on a date we're having a sleepover there. Then we're all gonna go to school together the next day. Well Jazmine is here to pick me up.

After arriving at the Freeman house we all started talking about school. " imma be da realist nigga der I know dat", said Riley leaning back in his chair. " Nigga shut yo ass up. You may be da realist nigga but imma be da baddest bitch", said Cindy. Huey rolled his eyes and continued to read his book, he's kinda cute but I would never make a move because he's dating Jazmine and I really value out friendship even though I've only known her for a little while.

The conversation continued and then the doorbell rang. In walked a dark skin boy with brown eyes and dreads. Everyone immediately jumped up to great him and I thought to myself, "this must be Caesar". Once everyone settled Jazmine stood up and said, " Caesar this is our new friend Lyla, she just moved in down the street." " hi I'm Caesar", he said reaching out his hand. I shook it and said, " hi nice to meet you I'm Lyla". He smiled and said, "that's a pretty name". I blushed and sat back down. Oh my gosh, this boy is really cute, forget Huey. I wanna get to
know Caesar.

Without wasting time Cindy stood up and said, "alright niggas we finna play truth or dare". Riley then said, " nah c-murph, last time we played truth or dare Huey and Jazmine ended up dating." Huge blushes appeared on both Huey and Jazmine's face. " nigga did I ask your opinion?" Cindy paused waiting for a Riley to respond and then said, " didn't think so". I then said, " I think we should play, I've never played with you guys before and I think it'll be fun". Jazmine nodded in agreement with me and then Caesar said, " trust me you don't wanna play with Cindy she be daring crazy stuff." Cindy said, " Caesar shut yo dread headed ass up, My dares aren't that bad." Huey looked up and said, " can y'all stop arguing and play the damn game if you gonna play it". " ight den mchater we gon play", said Cindy. Now who's first? She said as a devilish smirk appeared on her face. Oh snap what the hell have I gotten myself into?
