Hyorin's hands shook while she held the lyric sheet. The thing was, she wasn't angry they were out in the open because in a way it was as if she was releasing something that had been hiding inside her for too long. It was like a secret she just needed to let out and as it was discovered, a wight was lifted off her chest. Her anger stemmed from something deeper than that. Reading the words she had heart-brokenly sprawled across the page reignited the hate inside of her. She felt she had stepped through a time warp and was thrown back to the night she found out, her chest twisted in a way she knew all too well. It was the same way it twisted on nights when the cold would creep in her window and the silence surrounded her. Loneliness.
"Ah.. Hyorin ssi? gwenchana?" A soft voice broke her train of thought, suddenly pulling her back to reality. It took her a moment to realise all eyes were on her making her feel like a lion in a circus that wanted to run free. She pursed her lips and turned towards the voice only to be met with a concerned look from jooyoung. She quickly composed herself and smiled - what she hoped would look real.
"Ahh, yeah im fine thanks... just shocked" She shot a death glare at their producer but he didn't seem phased in the slightest. She couldn't help but feel a little flustered by the way Jooyoung was looking at her. It made her stomach knot a little seeing how much he was worried about her.
"I don't believe you" He tilted his head to the side and smirked a little analyzing her face. She wished she could read his mind and know what he was thinking. She was soon put out of her misery. "It takes alot to make such a beautiful face turn so sour" She was stunned, unable to reply so she just attempted a giggle which sounded more like wheezing. She wished she could disappear forever.
He stood up, and walked towards her making her focus on the paper in her hands in an attempt to hide the oceans of red rising on her cheeks. She could feel how close he was before he even touched her. He lightly set his hands on her shoulders and lowered his head to her height looking into her eyes so she could see how sincere he was.
"If it's uncomfortable with you, we don't have to do this song" He smiled again reassuringly. She contemplated the idea and stared back at him, so grateful that someone had taken her into consideration. She knew it was the easier option... but she also knew she wasn't the type to ever take the easy road.
"no, we'll do it. besides, i wrote some damn good lyrics, waste of time leaving them in my book right?" She laughed and playfully punched him, moving back a few steps to recollect her thoughts. A few seconds into her laughter, she noticed jooyoung was still doubled over himself. She heard him trying to muffle a groan... oh god... she thought. She seriously wanted to run, hide or even die.
"Aim a little higher next time alright?" He managed to push out while he held his groin in pain. She went over to see if he was alright dying of embarassment
"IF YOU TWO ARE DONE! we have a song to record. so let's get back to it" The producer broke them up, and Hyorin took the opportunity to run to the other side of the room and hide behind the paper... this was already off to a bad start.
"pull it together hyorin" She whispered to herself.
