Perfect Imperfection

8~Beach Day

We walk over to the 5sos boys and we greet each other before walking down to the beach.

We find an empty spot on the beach, and set our towels up, and Ashton sets an umbrella up.

"Want to go in the water?" Beau asks everyone.

"I'm going to lay down for a bit" I reply.

All the boys decide to go in so they all pull their shirts off and run into the water.

I pull my shorts and singlet off, then I put sunscreen on myself, I get my sunglasses out and put them on.

I plug my headphones in and press shuffle Photograph by Ed Sheeran comes on and I lay down.

I lay down listening to music for about 15 minutes before I take my sunnies off and put my phone and headphones away,  I spot the boys a little way out in the water throwing a ball around.

I stand up and run down to the water.

I keep running through the water until I'm behind Luke, Jai spots me and I bring my finger to lips in a single to be quiet he laughs a bit but covers it with a cough.

I walk a bit closer to Luke until I was directly behind him, then I jumped up and latched myself onto his back he stumbled back a bit but grabbed my thighs to hold me up.

"Hey there" Luke said turning his head so he could so me over his shoulder.

"Hi" I replied.

"You right there" he asks.

"Yeah, I'm good thanks" I said.

"That's great" he says back.

Luke continued to throw the ball around with the others with me still on his back.

"You can put me down you know" I tell him.

"Your actually really light, but sure" he says and then unexpectedly releases my legs causing me to fall into the water.

I swim to the surface of the water and all the boys are laughing at me.

I start laughing with them and then splash Luke.

We continue throwing the ball around in the water for another hour before we get out we go back to our towels and grab our money then go up the top to buy ice cream.

"Hi can I please have 1 vanilla ice cream" I ask when it gets to me.

"Coming right up" he answers a few seconds later he hands it to me I go to hand him the money but someone behind me reaches over and pays for me.

I turned and see that it was Beau that payed for me.

"Why did you do that Beau?" I ask.

"Because I'm a nice guy" he responds.

"You didn't have to do that Beau" I say.

"But I did" he says shrugging, I thank him and wait to the side for everyone to get their ice creams.

Everyone gets there ice creams and we take them back to our towels.

We sit down on our towels, and for the next hour we just took stupid selfies and talked the 5sos boys were so nice, and easy to talk to and we all swapped numbers.

"Nice phone case Kayla" Michael tells me (A/N it's a 5sos case, the picture is at the top)

"Oh my gosh I forgot I had that on" I say blushing in embarrassment.
"Hahaha we don't care" Calum tells and they all nod.

"Hey Kayla show the 5sos boys some of your flippy tricks" Jai says.
I laugh at his description of my 'flippy tricks'.

"Right now?" I ask and they all nod.

"Okay" I say I move a bit away from them and then do a series of back handsprings across the beach then finish with a back tuck.

I run back up to the boys and sit back down on my towel.

"Your really good" Calum tells me.

"Thanks" I say.

"She use to be the best under 17 dancer in Australia" Jai tells them.

I roll my eyes and slap his upper arm, I didn't wanna come across like a bragger.

"Woah, really?" Michael says.

"Yeah" I say nodding.

"Do you still compete?" Ashton asks.

"It's all kind of a long story" I say and Beau and the Janoskian boys give me a sympathetic smile while the 5sos boys just look curious.

I hadn't known the 5sos boys for long but I felt like I could trust them so I told them, about my parents, Kelly and my dance past.

When I finished the story they all said they were sorry I had to go through that.

"So how did you guys meet?" Luke (Hemmings) asks us.

"The twins came running into Starbucks and knocked me and my drink on the ground so then they brought me another, then they introduced me to the others, and then since Beau Luke and Jais mum went away for a week they spent the week at my house" I explain to them and they laugh.

"And it was the best time of her life because she is a big Janoskians fan" Jai says swinging his arm around my shoulder.

"Oh shut up" I say laughing and rolling my eyes.

We sat and talked for a bit before we got up and went swimming again.

We swam for a couple hours then hopped out again after a little while we had to say goodbye to the 5sos boys and head back to the venue.

We're now back on the bus and Its 4:30 now we have to be inside at 5:30 so we're all just sitting on the couches on our phones.

"Am I dancing with you guys again tonight?" I ask the boys.

"Yeah, you probably will be until until we can find another dancer" Jai says.

"Unless you want to do it permanently?" Beau says looking hopeful.

"I'll do it permanently it saves you guys having to find another dancer and I kinda miss performing in front of big crowds even if they aren't watching me" I say.

"Yay!" The boys all cheer and I laugh.

"Now I have to practise dance and choreograph dances" I say.

"You'll probably get payed double" Daniel says and I smile at him.

A while later it's 5:30 and we head over to the venue, I go onstage with the other girls and run through the dance with them a couple times.

Then I get the boys to go through the dance a couple times before I get my make up and hair done then get changed into my same outfit from the concert last night.

A few hours later I'm laying down on the bus couch with the boys watching a movie.

When the movie ended it was about 11:00 and we all went to bed.

We would be driving all night and day tomorrow then we will get to Queensland about 6:00 tomorrow night, then have the night off from concerts then we have 2 concerts in Queensland before we go to Western Australia.
