I usually woke up at 12 noon but today was different. Not that I wanted to wake up early. (Because yes, 9:30 is waaaaayyyy to early)
There I was, having a perfectly nice dream about having super cool ninja powers until-
"Why didn't you send the letter yet?"
I jumped from my bed in shock. My eyes were wide open and my heart was beating erratically. I spun around to find the source of the voice but having just woken up, my mind wasn't very clear.
"Who'sh ther." I slurred. I was still terrified as fuck but not seeing the immediate danger, I was considerably more calm.
"Why haven't you sent it yet?" The voice repeated.
I grumbled, annoyed. This voice just goes into my room and wakes me up at 9. Then it continually asks me about a letter. I mean, why would I send a letter to-
"Oh." I said in realization. I hummed in irritation. I shouldn't get mad at an all-knowing mysterious voice. I shouldn't. I really, really shouldn't. But damn, I was having an awesome dream.
"Couldn't you have just waited for me to wake up first?" I huffed with my arms crossed in front of me. The voice laughed warmly (because all-knowing voices don't giggle. They don't.).
"You are very amusing." I just glared at the empty space in front of me. It didn't even have the decency to sound a tiny bit ashamed of it's sadism.
"I'm not an it." The voice still sounded very amused but I caught the tiny hint of being offended. I counted tht as 1 point in the metaphorical scoreboard. Me: 1 Unknown Voice: 4
It was a very satisfying feeling to be able to one-up a-
"Did you just read my mind?!?" I exclaimed in shock. My fists clenched unconciously. At the nervous silence I was feeling, I would guess that yes, it had been reading my mind.
Invade my life, steal my change but no bitch was gonna read my mind.
"I'll stop once you write and send the letter." The voice said suavely, as if it hadn't just been called a bitch by an angry mortal.
"You sneaky bastard!" I spat in anger. Me: 1 Unknown Voice: 5
First of all, it made me forget my change then it orders me to write a letter for seemingly no reason, after that it wakes me up way too early, and to top it all off, it had the fucking nerve to read my mind and blackmail me.
"What a dirty mouth you have." The voice 'Tsk'ed ' in disapproval. I snorted derisively. I was still wary of the voice but I was too fucking pissed to care.
"I'll write the damn letter so keep your promise and leave me alone." I said strongly. I got bored easily but I was an introvert. I hated the fact it was invading my personal time.
And just like last time, with no warning or goodbye, the voice disappeared.
I looked around my pristine room. "Where the fuck is my pen and stamps?"
