Dear Elena-dearest of my heart (XD jk)
I'm not going to ask where you live because I feel like I don't wanna know but it seriously can't be that far, can it? I'm so glad you understand how I feel about this Mysterious Voice. If I told anyone else they would chuck me into the loony bin faster than you can say Ninja.
Is it that obvious I'm a teenager? I'm 16 BTW, I'd ask you for your age but my mom told me never to ask a woman her age 'cause it's rude and all that shit.
I am eternally glad you don't have pets. Now let's erase this topic from history.
I'm an introvert. And being an introvert means I don't like being around other people hence the lack of things to do. I swear I'm ready to sign up for ballet classes just to be able to do something but then I have to be near people.
Writing to you is the only thing I can do.
Can you guess my name?
A Secret
She sighed in content. Hearing laughter from outside, she smiled and carefully put away the letter inside a box. Her cheeks were slightly pink and her eyes were unbelievably blue.
A knock made her jump up and stumble. She pouted at her clumsy feet and headed for the door. Once she opened it, she was greeted with the sight of a wet boy and girl, staring at her with innocence only children have.
"Miss Elena! Me and Katie found a river." He gave her a toothy smile and her heart melted. Though she inwardly frowned in concern.
"It's Katie and I, Thomas." She corrected him with a smile. "Now let's go get you dried up before you catch a cold." She ruffled his hair, not caring if she got wet.
"But Lady Elena, we can't catch colds." Sweet, sweet Katie said quietly. She had light brown hair that was held back with a big red bow. Elena paused lightly and bit her lip.
She turned to Katie to give her a reassuring smile. "Sorry, I forgot again." She knocked herself in the head and smiled wider when she heard the children laugh. They chanted, "She forgot! Again and again and again." They laughed louder.
"C'mon. Show me the river that stole your attention away from me." she said with a pout. Thomas, the sunshine he was, smile brightly and proceeded to pull her, while Katie, the quiet wind, settled for a small smile and a light blush.
The box was left alone. Until a gust of wind rushed through the room and promptly made the box disappear.
Elena hugged the kids tighter to her when a huge gust of wind appeared. Thomas looked at her curiously.
"What was that, Miss Elena?" He asked, pointing at the direction of the wind that swept pass them. Katie looked slightly scared and was holding onto Thomas and her tightly.
Elena smiled comfortingly, "It's probably just Rama at work again." she ruffled his hair and planted a kiss on Katie's cheek.
Katie looked up at her, her strangely orange eyes glowing. "Rama is scheming again, isn't he Lady Elena?" Elena looked at her, shocked. Truly, Katie's wisdom was quite astonishing. There were some rumours that the Custos Squad were thinking of recruiting her when they heard she was quite the prodigy.
Her grip on them unconciously tightened. "Rama has good intentions Katie, you know that." Thomas looks at them, not understanding what was going on(or so they thought). Elena held Katie close and whispered into her ear.
"You would protect Thomas no matter what, right?"
Katie smiled and she wasn't like Thomas who shined like the sun. Her light was tamed, controlled and reflected. Elena giggled at her comparison. If Thomas was the Sun, then Katie was the ever changing and ever staying moon.
"I would protect both of you." Her eyes glowed and Elena's smile wavered slightly. There was something eerie about the sight. "Especially from that mortal you have been writing to."
Before Elena could even think, Thomas tugged both of them towards the sparkling river. He was laughing and urging them to run faster. They ran and laughed and forgot.
Elena sees the knowing eyes of her dear Thomas and she remembers. Why do they have to be prodigies? One a secret, one well-known. Why did they have to be so overprotective? To her and to each other.
Why were they so entwined in Fate's plans that even she, can not touch them?
They always left her because she was to scared for the beyond. She wanted safe. Now that she got it, she wasn't so sure anymore.
But No-Name-Stranger wouldn't. A smile crept to her face. She knew he wouldn't leave and she will find out soon how and why.
