Anastasia's POV
I tossed and turned in my bed, feeling the cold sweat dripping of my chin. I was having a hard night, I couldn't sleep and was having a very... interesting dream.
-------------
"It's so different, standing out I mean." I said to Luke who was currently inspecting my dragon tattoo."In the mortal school I went to, I was the odd one out. "
Luke looked up at me, fixing his bright blue eyes on mine.
"It's what made you who you are now, Stasia, you belong here," Luke whispered softly.
I gave Luke a small smile leaning back to my original position. I closed my eyes, relaxing and soaking in the mystical environment.
Until, my eyes flew open.
Feeling that someone was watching us, I scanned the proximity.
Directly in front of me, was a girl and a boy. Reading their body language, they looked like they were a couple.
The boy's arm was around her waist and the moment he set eyes on my tattoo, he pulled the girl closer to him and tightened his hold on her.
That was the thing.
I tended to make people feel as if they were in danger. I used to be affected by it, but eventually, I got used to it.
Anyway, back to them. Judging by their auras, the boy seemed like a mortal, but the girl's aura was... special.
"I'll never get bored of the way your tattoo gl-" Luke said, but stopped.
"What's wrong?" he asked, realising that I had tensed up.
Following my line of vision, he sees the couple standing in front.
I felt some kind of connection with the girl.
Maybe it was her aura, but just maybe...
It was her.
I stood straight up, wanting to walk towards her. But feeling a hand grasp my arm, I paused in my steps. I looked back and saw Luke with a worried expression.
"What if it's a trap?" Luke said, worriedly trying to convince me not to do anything rash.
"Luke, what if it's anything else in the world? It might even be an alliance. We need all the help we can get," I said.
I lowered my voice," She could be the answer. I have a feeling."
He bit his lip trying to work out an argument.
"Stasia, no." he said.
I gave him a reassuring smile and said softly, " It's okay, she won't harm me."
He reluctantly let go of my arm, settling for looking at the girl with caution. As I got closer to the girl, I felt the connection between us growing stronger.
"May I see?" She asked.
I nodded at her, as she took my hand, looking at the dragon on my arm. And suddenly, she fixed her eyes on the lion tattoo that was wrapped around my index finger. She said softly," That tattoo... I have it."
She lifted her right hand up to show me and I widened my eyes. " You can see it?" I asked.
We aligned them up together and pressed them against each other. Once we did, the glowing had reached its maximum and had begun to shine out from our identical tattoos as well.
We covered our eyes and suddenly, a loud sound came out of nowhere and that was it.
Total blackness.
I jolted upright and panted. It was just a dream.
Although, deep inside I knew it wasn't just a dream.
It was something so much more.
