"It's going to be a great day." I whisper to myself while brushing my golden hair in the mirror. I look at my small figure, my brown eyes and blonde hair. People say I'm pretty but that's because I'm a blonde.
I walk out of the house, backpack slung over shoulder, heading to school. As I pass my neighbors house I notice that the same rock music is playing in his room.
Oh, he's Cody. He's the bad boy of the school. Smokes, has parties, skips school, steals things. The teachers don't like him, well, because he skips school and doesn't do his homework. But, I know he's still a nice guy.
I've known him since I was five, when I first moved next to him. We were best friends from day one. We shared secrets, played spaceship, had sleepovers, and even build a treehouse in the woods behind my house. We also made a promise, a promise we wouldn't tell anyone. We made it in sixth grade, two years before we stopped being friends.
The promise was, that if we both didn't have anyone to go to the prom with in high school, we would go together.
