Diggy's POV

Nia and I were able to finish most of our power point and we we're going to start on our essay after we gathered all of our information and hopefully start writing it together sometime this weekend, but in the meantime I was really nervous about meeting her Father. From what she told me he was a very powerfully man. He was a brilliant man. One if not the best Surgeon in the country Yes! He was that great! She also said that he was a very humble man and thanked God and his parents for his success. I never met any of my past girlfriends parents. Let alone someone that I'm highly considering thinking about making her my girlfriend, but ever though I was scared out of my mind there was no doubt in my mind that if this dinner went well then I would be more sure of the answer that Nia would give me would be positive, when I ask her to be my girlfriend in a couple of days.

There was a soft knock on the door to Nia's bedroom. I assume that it was Mrs. Parker coming to tell us that it was time for dinner, but I didn't expect Naomi Nia's twin sister to open the door, when Nia say come in. She says that dinner was ready and for us to hurry to come down to eat before the food got cold. She looked at me the entire time. I could sense Nia getting ticked off from her position right next to me on her bed with her laptop. As Naomi closed the door, while she was still giving me the eye I tried to talk Nia down before she let her sister get the best of her again.

"Babe..." I turned to face her, while looking into her beautiful big hazel brown. I found myself slowly getting lost into them. I had to snap myself back into reality, so I did literally, earning myself a weird look from Nia

"Y-You can't let your sister get this kind of reacted out of you. Don't worry about her trying to steal me away from you either because that's not going to happen. I'm not into here. She doesn't make my heart skip a beat like you. She doesn't have me staying up late at night thinking about her. She's not the kind of girl that I want to be with. I know that were young, but that doesn't stop me from thinking about my future, our future, so Nia just don't worry about our relationship being a fail okay?" I said to Nia as I wiped the tears that managed to slip out of her beautiful eyes

As she continued to cry, I continued to wipe away her tears and comfort her.

"Dan?" Nia said as she slowly lifted her head full of curls from my chest with uncertainly in her voice. I knew that she wanted to ask me a question and the fact that she seemed scared to ask me made me a little bit scared.

"Yes sweetheart" I said directly into her eyes

She continued to scar into my light brown eyes like we were having a scaring contest. She spoke in a little baby voice catching me off guard a little bit "You promise?" I knew that she was talking about what I said before about only being interested in her and not her sister. I knew about her history with her sister and her previous boyfriends and I had no attention of repeating history again.

As I held out my pinky finger for her to wrap about with her pinky finger I spoke in a soft voice "I promise"

We had our pinky finger wrapped around each out as I leaned in to plant by lips on her gorgeous red colored ones. She kissed me back with, so much emotion. I knew that right there and then that she was giving be permission to have her heart...

40 minutes later at the Dinner Table...

"Daniel can you please pass the mash potatoes?" Mrs. Parker asked me in her sweet loving voice that never changed

"Sure madam" I replied, while passing her the mash potatoes.

"So, Daniel what is it that you do again?" Mr. Parker asked me

I could tell that he wasn't so fond of me from the moment that I met him and shook his hand.

"I'm a student first then I'm a rapper. Education is very important in my family." I spoke with confidence, so that he couldn't tell that I was really intimidated by him.
